I don't know any black dude that would wear tights.
Will Smith, HancockHe has the technology to correct that! xaosyay but from what I've heard he's already black where it counts. So what's teh point?
[QUOTE="Ken_Masterz"]Umm no because Superman isn't black?xaosHe has the technology to correct that!
Is there anything he *didn't* have in the Silver Age?

Considering that that era also gave us his little known power of "super basket weaving", probably notMake a new black superhero, don't replace an old superhero.
They already tried it with catwomen as well.
As long as Superman embodies the traits of the American immigrant, I'm fine with it. If they start throwing degrading black stereotypes at us, I will not appreciate it. I don't think I can stomach the thought of Superman's secret identity being a rap artist instead of a journalist. Speaking of that, isn't it time for Clark to get out of the newspaper business and do Internet reporting?Genetic_CodeHe became a TV anchor in the late 70's I think
He became a TV anchor in the late 70's I thinkxaosI thought that was the 90s, or maybe that was Jimmy Olsen I'm confusing. I remember in the Doomsday storyline, Jimmy Olsen was a turtle boy or something.

I don't care for superheroes. I wouldn't mind an African-American Sgt Rock (strictly the comics version). One of the figures I respected the most when I was younger was a no-nonsense African-American NCO.

I'm pretty sure Will Smith is close enough. I mean he has saved the world more times than Superman has.

Indeed Halle Berry was probably the only good thing about the film but regardless she wasn't even the first black woman to play Catwoman as the deliciously purrrrrrrrfect Eartha Kitt was one of the actors that portrayed her in the Batman TV series. Since it was the '60s, having a black woman constantly trying to bed Batman was actually quite a progressive TV moment coupled with her personally pleasing predilection for tying up a latex-coated Batgirl as a nice bonus.
