freshman year of high school is gonna be hellish if your gay but evertually (around 11th grade) people start maturing a bit and wont bother you if youre gay but some people might still avoid you.

Yeah, I know so many openly gay people... I'm even friends with tons of gay people. My best friend is a lesbian, I have at least three other lesbian friends, I have about five gay friends, and I have a gay uncle. I don't treat them any differently than I treat my straight friends. I don't care about my friends and their sexuality. I care about their personalities, so it honestly doesn't affect me at all when people come out of the closet because it doesn't change them, really---you've just learned something new about them. Although I'm a really conservative person, I'm very open-minded when it comes to things like this.

At my school, people don't treat gay people badly. There are a lot of people who are openly gay or bisexual at my school, but no one really cares. My school is pretty relaxed and friendly about that. I've never honestly seen real gay bashing" or anything. I live in Fargo, ND, which is overall a conservative community, but people are just so friendly around here that it just...doesn't really matter.

I know a few people. I was so shocked when I found out this friend of mine was gay I just didn't really expect him to be gay.

Two friends of mine.

One guy, who came out about two years ago. Surprisingly, he didn't get bullied. However I do deal the occasional bit of light hearted witty banter towards him. Not that i disrespect him for being gay I present the humour as if to mock REAL bullying.

One girl, who has said on more than one occasion that she is bisexual. Although I've reason to believe she's more like bi-curious because she's had MANY boyfriends, but has only dabbled in lesbian antics on occasion. Specifically on alcohol fuelled occasions.

I knew this guy since Kindergarden and we were good friends until on Junior High he admitted he is Bisexual but boys attracted him more. So he got attacked at School (Means not physical but mentaly) and massive spam on his own Website Guestbook. It somehow ruined our friendship but we still get along now today. Welis
