I recently saw the first one on TV, or at least the ending portion. Cried hysterically. They're f-ing depressing. Had half decent music for little kids though.XilePrincessI'm glad Disney seems to have gotten away from their signature depressing movies they were stuck on for a while.
The first movie I have watched recently (I have all of them on VHS). It's one of the darkest kids movies ever made, IMO. It's very, very good.
Can't believe people here just said the movie sucked
The first movie was one of my childhood favorites. I must have watched it a dozen times. I didn't pay any attention to the sequels.
I disagree. It's not even the darkest Disney movie. Black Cauldron and Sleeping Beauty are much darker. It's stupidly depressing but not dark. The first movie I have watched recently (I have all of them on VHS). It's one of the darkest kids movies ever made, IMO. It's very, very good.

this. I must have watched that first movie 50 times on VHS when I was a kid.
Does anybody remember the blatant rip-off Disney made in 200 called Dinosaur

Yeah, you're actually right about that. After doing a little research, that appears to be accurate. It's stated that Bluth was livid.I saw the first one in theaters. I don't remember much except bawling like a baby.
I heard the original cut got edited pretty heavily by Spielberg to tone down some of the dino violence.

It's amazing the pointless things a person remembers after working in a video store for 5 years. :P

A jeez, that's right. Good catch. :Pi saw a ton of them, cant remember which ones, but my fav was the one they found that little purple baby t-rex in hahaI saw many of them when I was a kid but I liked the 1st one the most.

also sara was a b!tch. hated her, she was jst a horrible all around character
I saw some of them. First one was depressing like his mother dies right in front of him and leaves him all alone in the middle of nowhere? In the second all of the kids almost drown in the black crap and gets saved by the adult donosaurs in the nick of time (at least they didn't make it that the kids could do everythig on their own). I like the first one, the sixth with the strong dinosaur with the scar or whatever and the second with the baby T-Rex, I think its name was chomps or chomper. I used to pretend that brocolli was star food (or whatever they called leaves in the movie).
