what don't you like about them? That they aren't funny? huh. well i find myself laughing out loud at some of the jokes. oh well i guess its just an opinion of humour.[QUOTE="metaknight36"]
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]
I would hope not. The new episodes aren't funny at all.

GOD NO. The third and fourth episodes weren't bad though.super_mario_128
They are ok, but there's just too many genitalia jokes. It's making me think "ok, that was easy" instead of "ok, that was funny."
Haters gonna hate. Maybe they're not as good as some of the classics, but I still find them to be hilarious, and I love that they're still hitting on relevant social commentary. The new episodes are hilarious and the movies are pretty damn funny too, but some people just dislike change.

TV romances are always anti-climatic, they get Fry and Leela together finally, have two episodes with a jealousy theme, and then realize what all TV writers eventually do, that true romance is boring after they realize they love each other. Besides, it's the year 3000, who needs to be tied down when our 20th century notions of modesty are gone the way of the dodo?
No, we dislike things that aren't funny. Don't act like this is just some progression of the series and its quality is still very much intact. Because that couldn't be further from the truth. I really don't know how anyone can consider these new episodes any better than mediocre. I know people are entitled to their opinions, but sometimes opinions are just... wrong.Haters gonna hate. Yeah, okay. Fact is they kept the social commentary in tact, all the great characters are having classic appearances (Zapp Brannigan: I'm hiding in a barrel like the cunning fish, Mom trying to take over the world using eye phones), they're making clever sci-fi references (the nod to Vger in the second episode), they've still got some entertaining sidestories (Bender's non-stop dancing), and they've still got some decent writing, for a sitcom at least. Like someone else said, this is still the funniest sitcom on TV, and like I said it's not as great as some of the more memorable episodes SO FAR (I always have to laugh at people who take it upon themselves to rip into a show just episodes into its run, think Matt Groenig has made some other cartoon character mocking that behavior, just maybe), but it's still at least on par with most of the season 4 episodes.

This is pretty much my view too. The new ones maybe aren't as good as some of the amazing classics but it's still better than almost everything else on TV right now. So far there was ONE thing that really struck me as being out of character: Bender got a magnet on him at one part and did not become a folk singer.Haters gonna hate. Maybe they're not as good as some of the classics, but I still find them to be hilarious, and I love that they're still hitting on relevant social commentary. I completely missed that, will have to re-watch. I sure hope continuity doesn't become as big a problem as it was on the Simpsons, I thought they had most of the old Futurama writes back and David X is usually pretty quick to spot that kinda thing.

Debatable, Bender had the goatee on his neck in Bendless Love and the bowtie in the same place in A Flight to Remember, I'm pretty sure that in all other magnet-related episodes the magne was on or near his head a la the end of Bendin' in the Wind.

Nah, that's not the time I was thinking of... I just rewatched all of the series. I should have written down which episode it was! =[
Meh, I'm probably mistaken.

There's also a few scenes where he's very close to the winch magnet, like in Fear of a Bot Planet. Other than that, either I'm blanking or it could be in seasons 4-5 which I haven't watched half as many times as seasons 1-3.

Oh no, he has a different opinion than you, how ridiculous! :roll:
Anyway, I like the new Futurama episodes but they definitely aren't as good as the old seasons. I have high hopes for future episodes though. :D

Ah, I found it! In "I Second that Emotion", when the magnetic can-opener catches his head, he just says "Ow! My head! My precious head!" and nothing else. He was attached to the magnet for four seconds.
In the latest episode, the magnet was attached to his stomach, not his head, and it only shows him on screen for three seconds.
So HA!
i think 1,2,4 episodes were great, the new one sucked beyond belief, not even a chuckle, i'm praying the quality goes up

Are you kidding me? I thought that was the best one yet. Social commentary returns, and Farsnworth's shocking revelation at the end was great. To each his own I guess, but I loved it.
