Nah, that's not the time I was thinking of... I just rewatched all of the series. I should have written down which episode it was! =[
Meh, I'm probably mistaken.
McJugga
There's also a few scenes where he's very close to the winch magnet, like in Fear of a Bot Planet. Other than that, either I'm blanking or it could be in seasons 4-5 which I haven't watched half as many times as seasons 1-3.
Ah, I found it! In "I Second that Emotion", when the magnetic can-opener catches his head, he just says "Ow! My head! My precious head!" and nothing else. He was attached to the magnet for four seconds.
In the latest episode, the magnet was attached to his stomach, not his head, and it only shows him on screen for three seconds.
So HA!
I guess you could make the argument that he wasn't near it for long enough, in A Tale of Two Santas it took a few seconds in the magnetron for him to start singing, but you could also chalk it up to inconsistency. I think when it's not near his head, though, it hasn't caused him to sing. I do like to speculate about thos little inconsistencies, two of my favorites are if New York was eventually buried, then why was the cryogenics lab left above ground in the time lapse sequence, and why is French an incomprehensible language when there are multiple French speakers shown (Charles de Gaulle, wing of famous French people, Pazuzu)?

Which new one?super_mario_128
the one where amy and bender fell in love
That is episode 4.it's 11 o'clock here in new york and my brain shut down on me at 4 o'clock when i was at work, so bear with me i meant the 3rd episode:P
I've always thought they did those types of heartfelt episodes really well. Like that one, the episode where Leela goes insane after Fry dies, and the one where Leela finds her parents.I want them to top this depressing episode

If they can continue to create one of those once in a while it will be a big step in the right direction IMO.

Agreed, Luck of the Fryrish is my all-time favorite.

Yes I totally agree. The one you mentioned about the bee honey and Leela losing her mind is particularly excellent. The 'final' episode too is utterly beautiful and bittersweet.Haters gonna hate. Maybe they're not as good as some of the classics, but I still find them to be hilarious, and I love that they're still hitting on relevant social commentary. The new episodes are hilarious and the movies are pretty damn funny too, but some people just dislike change.

Agreed I though the Robosexuality episode was socially relavent and halarious even if it was beating you over the head with its lack of subtleness.

I think it also managed to have the quickest return to the status-quo ever. I think I clocked it at like 20 seconds.

Yes I totally agree. The latest episode (#5) was great! :lol:McJuggaI just finished it and absolutely hated it. I liked every other episode they have put out for this new season so far but the Leonardo one was terrible. Not 1 laugh
first episode: Meh.
second: very good!
third: alright
fourth: Decent
fifth one (aired tonight); Awesome!
My impressions so far. I'd say the fitfh and second episodes are on par with the original episodes.
Have you seen the fifth one? I'd say it's on par with the originals. Yes, I liked it, and it's better than some old ones, however, it's not exactly on par with that one where Fry's dog died, now that was an amazing and unforgettable episode, that's my opinion though.:PThey are funny, but against old episodes? Nope, the old ones are still better.
McJugga
Loved the ending.
The latest episode (#5) was great! :lol:scorch-62Agreed. "Didn't we used to be a delivery service?"
Best line of the season by far.
It was my favourite one of this season! :cry:Tonight's episode was awful. Futurama use to have some of the best plots on TV, but tonight's episode had an incredibly stupid story.
McJugga
I'll admit it had quite a few good lines, but honestly; da Vinci is actually an alien from another planet? And he build a robot in the 1600's? That ridiculous plot could pass on another show, but Futurama is waaaaay better than that kind of bull**** lazy writing. In fact, it seems like the new episode's main problem is the story, all of which haven't felt up to par with the originals and all of which felt rushed, especially the endings (it honestly seems like the writers just couldn't come up with a good ending for all the new episodes so far).
