Yeah, this. I'm a happy person, though I know not to be so happy that I annoy others with my constant smiling. :PHappiness is the reason for continued human existence. what is the point of living if you are not happy?
if you hate happiness you are irrational, illogical and possibly mentally ill.

I'd prefer to be around happy people than sad people.
Especially at work. Man, you can really tell when someone hates their job and it just drags you down to their level and it sucks.  **** those guys.
To me, I hate when people act all happy when you know it is fake. Ex: I was in cross country, and I was in last place (mostly because of my ashma) and they're all cheering "Comon! You're doing good! Keep it up! Go *enter name*!" In my head, i'm thinking "bullshit, you just want the fcking race to get over with" and i'd rather you say you suck *enter name*! Get your ass in gear and finish the God dam race!". See, to me, that would make me laugh my ass off while trying to run and make me happy cause they arn't being fake and happy happy joy joy. Maybe negative attention is my way of being motivated. sounds kinda screwy to most people, but I think it makes sense.fnevaevaNobody likes being patronized and nobody likes it when people don't put enough effort into faking sincerity. Its insulting. Anyway, The only Person I hate is myself, and I won't let anybody take that away from me.
Most people do, though they do not have the honesty to admit it to others or even themselves. Altruists believe that concern for the welfare of others is a good thing. They live their entire lives waiting for others to be miserable, because by their philosophy their lives are only meaningful to the extent that others need them. A happy person does not need pity, consoling, etc. They do not need anything from someone who can only offer recognition of a man's worst failings. An altruist looks in the eyes of a happy man and sees his own nonexistence looking back at him. That is why you hate happy people.LaihendiNo because I don't find meaning in other people needing me.

I know I do. Maybe hate is a strong word but does anyone else get really irritated when they see some random smiling for no apparent reason, or is it just me?

If it makes you feel better, they are all thinking how much better off they are than you.
I don't doubt thatTotally dude, whenever i see people smiling (usually couples) i just am overcome with hate for them. Not abnormal for me to be hateful and angry about everything, but when i see others having the happiness i don't..i get a wee bit cranky.

Don't get me wrong, guys. I enjoy when my friends are happy but whenever It's someone I don't know and I see no immediate reason for them to be happy it irritates me.FuggaJ
Sounds like you're a hater. The kind of guy who'll key his neighbor's new car just because it's a new car. The kind of guy who'll steal a person's laptop...not because you want it, but just so he doesn't get to have it.I know I do. Maybe hate is a strong word but does anyone else get really irritated when they see some random smiling for no apparent reason, or is it just me?

Seriously.Yeah, I think some things people can get angry over can at least be somewhat acceptable, however I think getting angry at someone just for being in a good mood, definitely is not one of them.
Best answer in this thread. As long as their happiness doesn' t affect mine in a negative way, I couldn' t care less.
