It seems that everyone celebrates Christmas, whether or not they are Christian. Does anyone just go about today as if it's a normal day?

It's a normal day to me, a bit more annoying than other days because people are always wishing me Merry Christmas, KNOWING that I don't celebrate it...

Yeah, it's a normal day for me too. I ocasionally get gifts left at my door but no celebrations or anything. Just another ordinary day of gaming.

Me too, my household does not celebrate Christmas so it's just a normal day for me. Whats going to be un normal is all the shopping we're going to do the day after! Man I love Boxing Day.

I used to dislike Christmas even as a Christian. These days I do not celebrate giving, the coming together of family, or even Jesus and the manger. I always felt it odd to have the biggest holiday of the year be something other than Christ's resurrection/Easter.

What I've done to look at Christmas in a new light is to look at it in light of Philippians 2:6-11.

Normal day for me. Don't have any family so it's rather dull. Plus half the stuff is closed so I can't even go anywhere.

Christmas used to feel so special, but somewhere along the way, it lost the magic I once felt when I was a child.

My family doesn't celebrate it and I go about the day the way I would on any normal day. I do still like it though because it puts many of my friends in a good mood.

I celebrate it as well, but I hate it. Whenever I receive gifts I feel like such a spoiled ass.

i'm athiest, but my family ( also athiest) has from when i was a child made it a day of family seeing eachother and they gave me presents. to this day i still get money. but as a day? its just horus / shiva's birthday , nothing more nothing less.

It can't even be a normal day for me since everything is closed and there's nothing on TV. If anything, I get bored or even depressed.

it's surprising that i don';t think i've seen one post saying that someone celebrates christmas and enjoys it. i celebrate it and enjoy it. no work, get to spend the day with people i love, lots of alcohol. only downside is the gargantuan cost of buying presents for everyone.

I'm a Buddhist 15 year-old, and i "celebrate" christmas, which merely consists of exploiting christmas just for the presents. :P

I didn't really care much for it this year though, i only got money and we have a holiday to New Zealand in 1-2 weeks.

I would treat it as a regular day if I didn't live near my family. As it stands right now, I'm indifferent towards the whole affair, but I'll put up with it as long as I have to.

it's cool for the gifts and food, other than that no big deal. i used to enjoy it more when i was younger, but less. i don't hate it though, still like it
