Considering I bought a bottle of Vodka and is asked to mix drinks at the party I'm attending, No. I'm definitly going to drink, not to the oint of being overly drunk but atleast a little over very tipsy.

Simple fact is - brain on alcohol is more susceptible to doing stupid thing since it impairs the part of your brain used for processing, logic, reflexes etc. If you are drunk, you will make bad decisions. Period. Some of us don't need alcohol to fit in....

Not true -you may be more likely (that I will agree with) -but being drunk does not always = bad choices/decisions Let me rephrase - it only takes one time to screw yourself or, the more common case, others. Drunk drivers seem to always live while the innocent family they slam into dies. Drunks with guns - good combo. Drunks with fire. The list goes on. It only takes one bad decision and so why would you put yourself in a state that causes you to make decisions that are impaired??? Cause it feels good and everyone does it and I feel sad cause no one loves me....drinking = selfish

Not this New Years. My folks don't drink so that's a no-no considering I'm staying at their house. As for other New Years... that's a totally different story.

Those are Jack-Mormons. They're pretty rare outside Utah and Idaho.

Well I'm not sure about their rarity outside of the state of Utah but they certainly weren't Jack Mormons but very active members of the church. It was a fairly small town with only a two cops assigned to it at the time so they were pretty traditional there.

Beer tastes like garbage (in my opinion), wine tastes like garbage (in my opinion) hard liquor tastes like rubbing alcohol (in my opinion) - why would I want to pay extra for something that tastes horrible? Like the other poster said, tehre are plenty of other ways to make your heart healthy that taste better....... #1 reason I don't drink - it tastes bad #2 reason - it cost a significant amount of money #3 reason - I don't like to be impaired - at all.... But saying that one glass of wine is unhealthy is hardly true, unless you have an extremely low level of alcohol tolerance.
I am 21. I won't be drinking alcohol on New Year's. Mainly because my parents will be around and they never drink and can't just buy my own beverages, but I'm not a huge drinker anyway.
Legal age is 18 here, and even though I'm just a bit under I'm not fussed. Alcohol is a meh for me. There are various other methods to enjoy myself though.
I will be on a whole different level tomorrow night. I'm newly 21 and ready for a new year. Only your imagination can wonder how good I will feel tomorrow. Ringing it in the right way, ya dig?
I live in Canada so Ive been legal to drink for 2 years now. But I dont drink on New Years I actually always stay at home and celebrate it with my family. Me and my dad always have a New Years cigar though.
