[QUOTE="notconspiracy"][QUOTE="pseudodog07"]In a way, the Earth, as far as man is concerned, could be rather new. Because before the Earth as we know it, it was Pangea which is an entirely different place. Then eventually it becomes the world we know it today which, if you wanted to, could be considered very recent. The same could be said for the creation of man.notconspiracy

pangea wasn't the first supercontinent. there have been quite a few before

That's the only one I know of. But, my point is that man and the world as we know it was created recently.

you do know how we know the age of the earth right?

What I'm saying is, it's only as old as since the day God created it. Not as old as what was before which was empty and void, becuase God's spirit had not yet moved across the waters.

They do share a common ancestor, but those prior to us were not men, therefore man was not created yet.

Please...please please please...just research a tiny bit into evolution and the fossil records before you make statements like that again.

I think I was clear. The days of creation were determined by God of the Bible, not fossil records. I don't dispute the fossil records, but believe that creation of Earth and man as we know them occured only 1000s of years ago.

The debate over the begining of man is not what this thread is about.

Who is God of the Bible? Us, the ones who created it?

Most leading scientists and professors believe in the big bang along with some sort of "intelligent design". I'm not going to argue with anyone but that is a fact to be considered.

You misunderstand. Of course you can argue a Christian viewpoint, but not if you are arguing something completely deiiferent than your opponent. This thread isn't about how humans began, its about how Earth began.

OMG i read a little of that, that site is incredible! they say its all a conspiracy and that the earth is flat

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_the_Earth

oh, ok. i'm going to trust some wikipedia source. brightpc12-return

yes, its brrighter to beleive in scientific sources than in the bible, because the bible doesnt prove anything it says, but science is full of profs and demostrations, but of course they are very long and boring to read....

can pc12-return tell me why should i beleive in the Bible, a 2000 y.o. book over the most advanced scientific theories?
