Not gonna lie, I used to hate the Red Wings before the salary cap. They'd spend oodles of money to buy Stanley Cups, and were basically the Yankees of Hockey. But then the cap came and they had to be smart. Fortunately for them, they had really talented staff and they've consistently unearthed gems in drafts, they've developed players correctly(if frustratingly slow in the cases of Jiri Hudler and that goalie of theirs in the AHL whose name escapes me), and they all play as a team due to good coaching. Even if I dislike a number of their players (Maltby, Samuelsson, Chelios, Osgood...who in a single playoffs tarnished his good reputation), I really like seeing Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Hudler and Draper play. Even if they always win they're fairly likeable.Redwings fan for life right here. Greatest Team Franchise in any sport. Most times going to the Playoffs in a row than any other sports team in any sport in history hell yea. I went to a Detroit and Dallas game in Dallas, and there were more Redwings jerseys than Stars hahahaa.
But yea I love hockey, also I play hockey. :)
