No.

It bugs me when they wear beanies in like 70-80 degree weather. Then I know it's some sort of fashion sh*t.

I'm sorry that I annoy you.....well not really. Though if its a nice restaurant or something, I don't wear hats.

The same reason people don't like elbows on the table and all that stuff. Etiquette and manners i guess. Although some stuff is arbitrary.

I don't really see the issue with wearing hats indoors. I think the purpose of hats has changed though from simply keeping your head warm to becoming more of a fashionable item of clothing, so it makes sense that people would wear them anywhere, just like a coat or a pair of shoes. Sunglasses indoors are something I don't get though, I mean you can't see anything, how does it make sense?

I'm one of those deviants who wear hats indoors. We face discrimination wherever we go. From a young age, our parents would attack us for issues beyond our control. I remember in my adolescent years, random middle-aged folk gesturing that I should remove my hat. Mark my words when I say when you tell people that people should simply unhat themselves indoors that they have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. F*ck off and die.

I started wearing hats simply because I didn't have to fix my hair in the morning whenever I felt lazy or was running late. In such casual environments, there are much worse offenses than wearing a hat indoors.

I wear a hat anywhere I want. What's wrong with that? I'll take my hat off if I'm talking to someone, but never if I'm alone. Makes no sense to be all torn up about it.

People at school? Really? No, it's not weird at all, it's a public place. Do you want them to take off their shoes as well?

What does annoy me though is people wearing beanies in the summer. Last summer, it was like 95f (35c) outside and I kept seeing these skinny guys wearing ****** beanies. Come on...

I don't know why, but if I have a hat on and I go inside, I have a habit of taking it off. I don't like to wear hats, so maybe, that is why.

If people are annoyed by this then they clearly have nothing better to do in their lives so they just concern themselves in a matter which isn't theirs.

gameking5000
It's got nothing to do with that. It's if you were raised well and taught good manners. Good manners have always involved taking your hat off indoors. Not just that you have nothing better to do.

Isn't that for religious reasons? I could be mistaken... So is saying thank you and please stupid? If you went into a church with a hat on and someone told you to take it off would you call them stupid? No, you'd take it off. It's not just manners but respect too.

No, some of us have real problems to worry about.

Blue-Sky

This is really the best point on this thread. Concerning yourself with something so menial is explained in the saying, "Don't sweat the small stuff." You must have pretty much a perfect life if the biggest thing that you have to worry about is whether people wear hats inside. Now sunglasses inside when it's dark out is another story. That's just dou.chy.

But you should question why it's good manners. If someone can't give me a reason other than "just because", then I see no reason to take my hat off. I feel the same way about elbows on the table. I do however think it's a bit weird to wear sunglasses indoors, but I certainly wouldn't be offended by it, or ask someone to take them off.

Maybe it's because they're meant for wearing outdoors. Maybe it's just something that's continued through the genrations. Like shaking hands with people. I can't explain good manners and being courteus it's just something you do.

seems you need to think for yourself why should i take off my hat? me saying I AM NOT DISREPECTING YOU should be enough, rather than doing some arbritary action in taking of a piece of clothing because of how society perceieved something decades ago and parents who were taught it and teached it to their young if i ever meet you i demand you dont eat or drink in front of me. it is very upsetting and makes me feel sick. also, you better not be overweight, because thats even more disgusting and offends the **** out of me. oh, and dont shake my hand, you have to tounge kiss me so i know you respect. if you dont, ill consider it an act of extreme disrespect.
