It does. My real name is Jiea (pronounced "Jee-yah") and I don't know why my parents spelled it that way. When I tell acquaintances my name, they spell it as Jia, Gia, Jea, they just can't seem to get it right.

And when they read my name the first time, it turns out to be Jeh-yah, Jee-eh-yah and even Jia-yah. O_O

My first name is never misspelled because people always ask, "Is it 'v' or 'ph'?" (my name is Steven). My last name is easy enough to spell. My biggest name issue is people call me by my last name a lot.
