...don't reciprocate by tracking your contributions in return?
I just realised there are 8 people whose contributions I'm tracking, but haven't returned the favour.
This makes me a little bit sad :(.
How about you guys?

To be honest, I don't even use most of the features in this forum. I just read and post.
Not really. I'm horrible about tracking people, too, because I don't always check my inbox and I don't always track users. Especially if I don't know the forumite, I may not track them back. Nothing personal. If someone wants me to track them, they should just send me a PM saying who they are or how they know me. Then, it's easy.
it wouldn't bother me seeing as how I never actually try and see to actively track people's contributions....don't reciprocate by tracking your contributions in return?

It makes me feel like I'm a little bit alone on this then I guess. I thought tracking contributions would be a good way to use more forum functionality, get more people to chat to etc. Most people seem not to be fussed, and that's fine I guess :P.

well if people like it that's fine and I'll even go through he motions of tracking you back, but I don't really do anything beyond clicking the button that allows me to do that. If it helps you though I say go for it.[QUOTE="zmbi_gmr"]
I do not track other users.

Yes, you are.:P:lol:
I generally do not track others first. You caught me :P
I would not track others first unless they make some silly thread where they want to be tracked but nobody ever tracks them. Then I will track them hoping to brighten their day. If someone tracks me I will track back, but honestly I don't understand why it's needed. Just go to the forums to interact.
To be quite honest I haven't tracked anyone in a while, people usually track me first and if they post in one or two of my blogs I track them back. If I tracked back everyone my friend's blogs would eventually be buried under a pile of posts from people that do not comment on my blogs.
I used to track back everyone who tracked me, but I eventually ended up with so many blog entries that I just didn't care about that the blog entries I did care about were getting buried and missed, which more or less forced me to get more picky.
It's nothing personal. :P
Glad to hear it :PI always track but do not care if I am tracked back. I mean, I don't contribute to the site a lot anyway - why track nothingness?

One must have feelings in order to have them hurt. As one who has completed the advanced ritual of Kolinahr, I have purged all remaining emotion.

I would chuckle, but I no longer have that ability.

Do you feel a swelling of pride?[QUOTE="RPG-er"][QUOTE="Gallego"]LOL well looks like I owe an apology to 734 users >_>Gallegoi forgive you. :)yay! but seriously there comes a time when you just don't pay attention to the friends system anymore >_> Yea i know what you mean, when i stopped reading blogs i stopped paying attention to all that

Do you feel a swelling of pride? Was that a joke? I can no longer discern for myself. The only "feeling" I am currently experiencing is my stomach notifying me that it's been several hours since I last consumed food. I shall seek out a modest caloric intake, preferably one that includes a sensible portion of the vitamins and minerals my body requires to continue its satisfactory operation.
If you track someone, you are saying that you find them interesting and gain the benefit of knowing when they have done something. I don't see any obligation, even implicit for them to find you interesting and track you in turn.xaosSo you're saying that I'm not interesting enough for you?

I've only ever tracked one person, and it was more on a whim. I usually just track whoever tracks me, more out of courtesy. Have to admit though, there's been one or two blogs now that I actually do read thanks to that method.
[QUOTE="KiIIyou"]I just figure they don't get those pm'sCeraby
Do pms get sent when someone tracks you? I don't seem to get those, I have to actually check the tracking section of my profile every now and again to see if anyone's accidentally tracked me.
Yeah if you have that option checked, i forget where it is though. Not really. I don't consider forums the place for feelings, I just see them like having a little soapbox to stand on and shout your opinions.

I used to think of them like that, but after this long it's started to feel like a home away from home. I'm exploring more areas of the community and I'm liking it :).
