I suggest you train your dogs to respect your home.

What's the point of owning a dog if you are going to keep it outside all the time? Maybe my opinion is coloured by the fact that where I live, all but the most hardy dogs would die from exposure if left out year round.

If you have the time to take care of the dog they will behave much better. Take them for daily walks 1-2 times a day to keep them tired so they don't get bored. Also let them outside very often so they don't go to the bathroom inside. Honestly though, if you don't have the time for all this then make them outside dogs if you have a big enough yard. Give them a nice shady area to relax and put their water and food in a safe place where other animals / frogs can't get to it.

I am in a huge debate over pets. I have a toddler, the toddlers play room is where our 2 beagle live/sleep. They have an actually bed. Their hair is everywhere, and my kid has ashtma. On top of it all, they chew and destroy the toys, take pisses and crap on the floor, am i in the wrong to be upset ? I have a huge yard, they have a huge closed in gated fence with a $200 dollar dog house, that also has a huge bed inside. The debate is my wife loves the dogs, and she wishes for them to live indoors, so they do. She thinks i hate dogs, and pets in general. I honestly don't, i just don't have time to be cleaning poop, and hair, and walking and feeding, and attention. I give that to my toddler, and i its hard to find time being away from home 12hrs a day. I know everyone has different opinions, but what do you guys think ? They also destroyed the yard, and poop and destroy the grass, also destroy the screen door, and destroy our furniture in that room by chewing on it, they eat expnsive shoes, ect. I guess this is what happens when you get married, you just have to put up with stuff, thank goodness for beer, sports, games, classic cars, and TV !

Make your wife clean up after their messes.

if she wants to let them crap and pee in the house, then she should be responsible for cleaning up their mess.

We think alike, unfortunately in a marrige it don't work that way, lol .. Does not make much sense i know. It would be nice if she did my oil change once in a while, since i cleaned poop, lmao !

Stand up for yourself dude. Don't let her castrate you.

Most dogs belong outside, especially if they are large dogs.

Pffrbt

Based on what. All dogs belong indoors if you want them to stay happier and healthier.

Personal experience and observations. Keeping a dog indoors, where they have no where to run or play leads to the problems the OP is having with his dogs.

One has to interact with a dog an a daily basis on top of training them properly. Our show dog(s) were well adjusted and healthy and had either a dog house or lived in the garage as Akitas are not a small dog and can handle the out of doors.

I'm not a fan of dogs in general, but if I did have any, I would easily keep them outside most of the time.

No, ignoring your dogs and not playing/walking/interacting with them leads to the problems the TC is having with his dogs. It's a fact that on average outside dogs live harder and shorter lives than inside dogs. I have a 90 pound German Shepherd who is perfectly fine indoors and we have a moderate sized home at best.

I prefer keeping dogs outside, it gets annoying when dogs are inside.

Way to ignore the whole second part of the post you quoted from.Â
