If a black announcer made a comment about a white women's basketball team, we would have never heard about it. No, he wasn't wrong, and once again it's the media putting the spotlight on racism that's not even there.RiSkyBiZ-13

That's my point. You won't find them, because it's not a big deal to the media. I have a video on my computer that was aired on C-SPAN, a black radical preaching about exterminating white people off the planet. There were no riots because of this, no protestors.

what a racist he's no better than the stupid klan. Why did you quote me on this, you never touched on my point. How is saying something as bad as the KKK? They commit hate crimes, Imas didn't commit a hate crime.

i wasn't comparing Imus to the Klan, i like Imus. I was calling that racist black preacher a racist and his ideology is just as bad as that of the stupid klan or the dumb nazis.[QUOTE="shaza91"][QUOTE="RiSkyBiZ-13"]If a black announcer made a comment about a white women's basketball team, we would have never heard about it. Don't think that the onlt target in this were white people. That comment also brought the media in an uproar against Rap music, which is made by mostly black people, and they stereotyped it and made it seem like the only thing that comes out of a rappers mouth is nonsense that degrades women.
When Don Imus returned on the air, he mentioned that Dick Cheney is a war criminal.
I agree with this statement 100%. I also believe the George W. Bush should be considered as the worst president in US history, and Dick Cheney should be considered as the worst vice president in US history.
I also think that it is weird that in the US (land of free speech), there is a double standard amongst its people. If a white person says "n-----", he/she might as well be considered a felon. However, many black people (not all) use the word all the time to refer to each other. Asians are the same way, and probably even hispanics and other races.
I heard Asians refer to themselves as "FOBs" (fresh of the boat), but they will express hatred to another person of a different race, if they call the Asians FOBs.
I don't understand this double standard that exists. If people want to be rid of these offensive words, then no one should use them. No black person should use n----- to refer to themselves, etc. However, the goverment really cannot restrict that since that will be violating free speech. Then again, the Bush administration has already violated many constitutional freedoms so what is another one going to do? But I digress.
In conclusion, it is hard to be politically correct and hard to not be offensive.
I have a hard time trusting a media that condemns Imus for what he said then ignores rappers for their constant degradation of women. I don't watch Hannity & Colmes very often because they get on my nerves but their topic was right on tonight. Where is the outrage when Damon Wayans and D.L. Hughley said the same thing as Imus but with no consequences? The media has a double standard on this issue.

Ignores? The media spent more time talking about how they can censor what rappers say than the actual Imus story.
