I don't care about the Indian kids one, but the puppies and kittens one always makes me shed a tear :(That show pictures of sad looking puppes and kittens or those ones that show little indian kids with cleft lips with sad music?

Here's my question, where the hell do they get the money to advertise this stuff? Shouldn't the money be going to, oh I don't know, the kids?DroidPhysXthey always talk about how if you donate like 15 dollars you can help give an orphan an operation or something if they cut their budget off advertising, they would give so many kids operations...

Maybe, but when you take other factors into consideration, I'm not so sure. If those ads really are effective, which they seem to be since they stir up emotions, and get people talking then they could well be worth it, plus you often don't see them during extremely peak viewing hours, or atleast I haven't.
Yes, because I look like an ass when I see them since I start grinning or laughing. I seriously don't know why it happens either, it's like a reflex.
I really don't see the point in sending money to help animals when there are humans who need help.

One big argument would be that animals can't help themselves and are often under supported. Not all, but many bad situations humans are in, are because of their own accord. That doesn't mean you shouldn't feel compassion, but sometimes it's their own fault.
Don't care about the cat and dog ones, but the ones with the "Indians" aren't Indians. Welfare in India is quite decent in comparison. They are African children from a variety of African countries.
The problem is, the pseudo charities that do these bogus infomercials are not proper NGO's (non-governmental organizations), for if they were, they would be focusing on prevention and not a flaked over cure.
I don't hate those commercials. There are worse ones, like any 4G commercial that exemplifies you being out of the loop because your wireless speeds are a few moments slower since you're running on lame ol' outdated 3G nekworks. OMG that joke was like soooo 10 seconds ago Billy you need 4G! 3G is like soooo slow now. Ugh. I can't stand that ****!
I hate them #1 because I hate beggars. I get tired of someone always wanting something. I dont like animals and could care less if they all die. AND as for the kids,I dont see its my place OR Americas place to keep supporting 3rd world countries. Here is some helpful advice.....QUITE having children..MOVE out of the desert..Put some clothes on..Beg your government for money and leave us alone. OH and here is a thought...Amercans are starving too....SEND US SOME MONEY...When we have natural disasters....SEND US SOME MONEY...
There...im done now...its coffee time.
Yeah, like I'm watching some comedy movie or series, suddenly those kids pop up. Nice going TV.That show pictures of sad looking puppes and kittens or those ones that show little indian kids with cleft lips with sad music?

I know I hate those dogs and cat commercials I usually change the channel because my I do not want to go from a happy mood to sad mood. But the kids commercial of third world countries dont bother me
Well that sounded rather ignorant. Have you considered that it's ingrained within the culture to have and support large families? In many places it's a display of fertility, and kids are taught at a young age to have as many offspring as possible. It's not as easy as "moving out of the desert and putting some clothes on". Perhaps the desert is what they consider their "home" to be.I hate them #1 because I hate beggars. I get tired of someone always wanting something. And having as many offspring as they can sounds right to you then? You want change, make the change or else you keep getting what you've always gotten. If the desert is their home, good for them. That means nothing to me and I feel zero compassion for them or anyone else in that position..

most of the money doesnt even go to the kids

They say right in the commercial "75 cents of every dollar you donate goes to the kids" with a subtext of "the other 25% goes to coporate big whigs associated with the children's christian fund who profit from your charity"...
That's why I only donate to the organizations who use 100% of proceeds for their charity...
For some reason they have no impact on me, I think it's because it feels too put together and forced, but there is also the fact they are doing something about it kind of relieves me, maybe since it's on TV it means it's not forgotten and some ones hearts in the right place. It's when you know there is no one who can help or care and it allends there that it might effect me, like something I seen recently that's quite bizarre in concept but damaged me never the less.
