[QUOTE="bigblunt537"][QUOTE="grape_of_wrath"] And you misunderstood my statement. fatigue for lack of sleep does not improve with training. I have stayed awake fo more than 24 hours during military operations i was involved in and during training. grape_of_wrath
But aren;t soldiers trained to take on physically and mentally demanding over long periods of time? Wouldn;t that come into hand considering a regular person most likely has never had such training? I went through a day that was crazy and it was VERY phsyically and mentally demanding and by the 27th hour I was completely knocked out for 2 days and what I went through probably doesn't even scratch what Jack is goign through in his day.
Soldiers are trained to ready themselves to states of effort and lack of sleep-so that it wouldn't shock them or hinder them, when situations do arrive. and it is a part of training(we call them "white nights"-I remeber in basic training they once made us take simple tests(math memory etc.) all night long, after a day of work, and continued to work(ie training) for 48 hours) but it doesn't help much-it doesn't become less difficult, you're just not overwhelmed by it .but i bet a motivated individual would do just fine. however-being in better shape does help A LOT with staying alert.Understood thanks for the info. I'm actually considering joining the military if NYPD never calls me.
He's loyal to the mission. He'll do whatever it takes. He doesn't mind risking his life. What he does mind is risking the life of others and Renee Walker pushed his limitations in tonight's episode. It was a really good episode though.Genetic_Code
