we've all heard it there are starving children in africa whenever we didn't finish our food as a kid but just until recently i actually really thought about it before i just thought you know it was another thing parents just said i mean i guess i felt bad but they never really seemed real as a kid but now i kind of look at it a diffrent way now as an older indivdual and it makes me feel bad for them but more than that i feel guilty but is it my fault that i was born in a wealthy country and others weren't i was just wondering if any one else feels guilty like i do even if it is out of my controlsolo-chaosI feel like that too....
Some times it comes to my mind, but then I realize that I can do nothing. Eating all my food isn't going to save those children.Thiago26792Exactly.

People are born into different situations, there is no controling that, but I guess just feel grateful for what you have.Overrated_HeroYeah,definitely.I always try to tell people that.
[QUOTE="cyberdarkkid"]Gluttony is just as bad as throwing away your food.Thiago26792That's also true. there is really no need to stuff youreslf full either,if you can't finish a meal don't force yourself too.
i feel that way every time i got to work, cause i work in a grocery store and we get big bags of flour and large containers of water, and if they are even slightly damaged, as in a tiny tear in the bag of flour, we have to throw out the whole thing, and every time i do it, i feel like im contributing to the problem by wasting all this food, sadly there is nothing i can do about it.junaid15Yeah I work in a fast food joint and we throw out sandwiches that someone doesn't want just because they don't like a sauce on it... or we throw it out when its cold but still edible, I keep saying why not send this "bad" food to places that need it Im sure they don't mind microwaving cold food, and we have a bunch of homeless people under the bridge we can just give it to them. (then again they spend all the money they get on alchol, then try to get free sandwiches from us so...)
[QUOTE="aliblabla2007"]Nothing we can do about it.mindstorm
yeah, sometimes... =/ but theres nothing i can do about itForumposterNothing at all? I can't say I agree. Charities are an easy way to help not to mention actually going over there like an above poster. That's a short term small scale solution...

Asian parents drill it into when you're young that wasting food is a terrible thing to do; they make you finish every grain of rice lol. Of course they tell you only about the starving kids in Asia; they don't care about the African kids lol.CJL182Well if you're eating rice it would come from Asia not Africa
