Dragon Ball Z is the best anime ever

Dragon Ball Z is the best anime ever and that was a long time ago. Why hasnt there been anthing that comes close to Dragon Ball Z?

I tried watching a bunch of anime on netflix but still none as good as DBZ. Gonna watch some DBZ on hulu plus when I set my xbox up. My ADD does a good job of choosing what a good anime is.

I agree but to be fair, its the only Anime I have ever liked.

I literally just went through and watched all the seasons not too long ago. Debating whether I should start dragonball or GT next. I miss Toonami sooooo much :cry:

Yu Yu Hakusho is the best. DBZ was good though. I don't really care for anime though.

Lol far from best. The series had too much dragging on scenes and filler. It one of the most overrated.

From what I've seen in the anime, I'm inclined to agree with you. But at least the manga was good until they killed off a certain character, it went downhill from there.

TC I don't agree with you, but dammit do I love Dragon Ball Z; Kai is so good.

How many animes have you watched? Have you watched Ghost in the Shell? Cowboy Bebop? Hajime no Ippo?

samurai champloo, cowboy bebop, trigun, love hina, big o, gundam wing, full metal alchemist...they are all better animes than dragon ball z...and thats just off the top of my head...give me time to really think about all the s*** ive watched...then we could be here awhile...

but i personally have a problem with animes which have people who talk for 3 episodes during a fight with nothing happening...or someone powering up for an episode and no one does anything to pwn them while they are busy...its soooo aweful just cause of that...

Almost every single anime made by Studio Bones is better then DBZ anime and its super sayan 3 level of filler.

In terms of fights its decent

My problem is that after watching dragon ball, watching dbz after the frieza saga annoyed me. Every single main character besides maybe piccalo became useless and irrelevant... they coulda made something for the humans for them to be more powerful....

I like DBZ, but honestly it hasn't exactly aged well. Of course I think it shows since susposedly, Akira Toriyama actually wanted to end the series at the Frieza saga.

DBZ is such a good show.

There is one thing I'm curious about. I wonder where people get that characters spend 3-4 eps powering up.

I mean, that happens about three times.

1)Solar system spirit bomb.

2) Cell adding insult to injury before he blows up the earth. So he wasn't really powering up. He was just trying to scare Gohan. So two times.

2) Goku's spirit bomb against Majin Buu.

Although, even if I hadn't heard it, I would've thought that it was supposed to end at the Freezer saga. I like Trunks, though.

291 episodes. How one would watch this show in it's entirety is beyond me. 2/3 of the show was filler. No seriously, it was filler. It was mandatory due to the nature of the manga being made at around the same time. They had no choice but to fill in certain episodes with bs and drawn out garbage.

Serialized anime shows have been, and will probably always be, the worst anime series that are available. It's just not worth my time to sit there and watch what very clearly amounts to filler surrounding a convoluted storyline.

I could draw comparisons to the very best animes and how they may only have 26 episodes, but I think its kind of unnecessary.

It would have been appropriate for sure though I feel they wasted potential with gohan and vegeta if they did. and the awesome legacy of trunks special was awesome.
