I like Dragonforce. Why do people criticize them, when other 'artists' are in the studio doing digital effects to their voices, like Akon, and Kanye West?

Im not a Metal person but ive seen Dragonforce twice and they were pretty good. It's weird that they get random hate, its like everyone jumps on the same bandwagon...o well.

With a band like the Force, who play long and fast songs (purposely not saying technical in case I get jumped on), that require very tight harmonisation, any mistakes made are very noticeable. This is emphasised by the fact Herman and Sam really don't give a toss and prefer to jump around on stage (very) drunk. I haven't seen enough of them to really give any real statistics, but let's assume for ever 4 gigs they play, 1 is bad. This is recorded on a crappy camera phone then recycled countless times on YouTube. A lot of people who claim they can't play live have only seen these random videos from the comfort of their homes. I'm not saying the Force are perfect at every gig, that'd be naive, but to say they're bad all the time is equally daft.

It's really funny, the vocals are recorded in Herman's kitchen and most of the guitar work is all done in Sam & Herman's bedroom. They do the rest in a studio, and it has to be watched for the sheer insanity of Vadim alone.

I actually prefer them live. Another difference is that Dragonforce's stuff is much harder than Disturbed's. Honestly, they just play chords over and over. Even Dragonforce could play Disturbed's stuff live.

A guy rapping while trying to growl, and a guy doing pretty much the most basic drumbeats in the book? I'd rather hear something not as repetitive, and good.

He does rap sometimes during choruses. But his growl is just annoying. And the only drum beats I heard were the kind of stuff that just consist of a cymbal and a drum.
