unless its a macrobrew, I will drink water before I buy Bud, Coors, or anything.

Ideally it would be something Belgian and strong, though I do love my English ales and barleywines. Occasionally I will go for IPAs and (yum!) Double or Imperial IPAs. And by Belgian and English, I mean any version; a lot of Californian breweries and other US breweries do those styles as well as the Europeans. Some put their own spin on them as well, which generally works well. Im no snob, no purists...I just like good beer that not fizzy yellow water.

My staple, though, are bocks and doppelbocks. I love my malty lagers.
