I just saw this on ESPN.com. Going through the list brought back a lot of memories, especially the Boise State - Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl. I still remember that night and how unbelievable the game was. Enjoy :)

I don't know too much about sports, but I certainly remember one from hockey:

Montreal Canadiens 6-5 shootout win over the New York Rangers after trailing 5-0.

Pretty good list, at first glance I watched 15 of those live. More than anything i'll remember the 04' ALCS/WS, I watched pretty much all of that with my dad.

Also, are these games or moments b/c not including Phelps, Bonds 73 HRs, or Bond's 756 HRs is a joke.

He broke what so many called the most sacred record in all of sports. It's just more hating as per usual even though for some reason it's ok to forget about AROID, Big Pappy, and so on. Also where is the Warriors historical upset over the Mavs?

It's snuffed by the fact that the Jazz destroyed them in the next series.

Twas not historic (see Nuggets over Sonics) -not really a single great game to put on there And baseball in not exciting anyways...let alone Bonds setting a false record...the public would be more forgiving if he came clean (look at Giambi or Petit vs Clemons)

Saying baseball is not exciting is your opinion. Breaking Hank Aaron's record was absolutely huge to say the least. I bet you if AROID does it, they'd have that as a moment next decade or whenever.

Your opinion on baseball doesn't dictate what a great moment in sport history was. Bonds breaking the record, which many though impossible, is a huge event, and not having it on there is sad.

amen. I'm not a giants fan, but i get sick of people accepting some people and claiming other scapegoats. I hate ARod more than anybody, if Bonds record gets an *, than so does the 09 world series wining Yankees*. Roger Maris, #1.

I know it was, I was asking if you knew. The Warriors upset is historical, but I'm not surprised it wasn't there due to this being BSPN and all. The lack of the '02 NFC WC and Bonds' HR records piss me off though. Who cares if he was an ass? It's a historical moment even if haters want to pretend it didn't happen.

Again, that's your opinion. I couldn't give a rat's ass about the fiesta bowl and especially the texas tech game for example. The niners making the second greatest comeback in NFL playoff history is an infinitely better game to me. If Bonds is going to get ignored for that, then I say the Warriors series should be mentioned after seeing the Lakers vs. Celtic series on there. There weren't any decade defining games in it, but the only reason it's there is because of the teams who played and that of course it was in the Finals.

Only if it's my teams that gets screwed, but this is a BSPN article so I can't say I'm surprised. Being on the west coast, you almost become accustomed to it.

Why do you care though?
You are not on the team.

You just seem like the type that gets upset if someone talks trash about your team.
It is just a game that you are watching, nothing more...unless you are Frank "bad knees" Gore...then be upset :P

I mean you can say all you want to about Dallas...it is all true...no reason for me to care...I am not playing

B/C it's my passion. Watching sports is my hobby, and it gives me a few hours to escape reality. You have your own interests, and this is mine. I don't care if anyone disses my teams for playing poorly, but I do get upset if they don't get recognized for their accomplishments.

[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"] Only if it's my teams that gets screwed, but this is a BSPN article so I can't say I'm surprised. Being on the west coast, you almost become accustomed to it.

Renegade_Fury

Just as much a hobby for me I imagine:
listen to espn radio 8 hrs a day at work, PTI is my #1 show, watch sportcenter everyday
love the Cowboys, Texas Tech (Alma matter), love/hate with the Mav's, not a baseball guy though

I just don't get upset about it
-used to when I was a kid, but not for many years now
-no point ...why be upset...we did not play
-dallas loses (often) and I am like damn...oh well

The only thing that bothers me is listening to false hate on ESPN for a week after Dallas loses
-Romo sucks...blah, blah, blah (really no picks in last 2 games, 600 yds, etc)
-But I support all the legit criticism (wade phillips, defense, etc)

For me the greatest sports moment of all time is the USA swimming relay that they were sooo far behind and came back to beat France. I watched it live, by myself, jumping up and down, almost in tears. Some good memories in that list too.

Sorry guys. On the ESPN home page it said moments but it really was games. I should have clarified that
