Sorry Mike Godwin. F*ck em. F*ck the EU. Thoughts on an European empire and the complete destruction of the sovereignty of EU members? (Not even addressing how silly the US comparison is. US states have more individual power than EU countries do against Brussels as it is today).

Schulz is a transparent communist who wants to erase all nation-states in the EU and complete the consolidation of political, military, and economic power into the hands of the monstrosity that is the EU. Of course, Europe's sick political culture is largely sympathetic to his vision.

Europeans are getting what they deserve. They pour out into the streets to protest cut backs on maternity leave, but stay home when the existence of their very nations are threatened by the tyrannical EU. The soul of Europe has been corroded by decades of socialism and centralized planning, not just of their economies but of the very nature of their national identities. All they've got now are evil Nazi-esque organizations like Golden Dawn, Jobbik, and the BNP.

I agree with him, it cannot stay like this. They really need to kill the euro.

Because, really, it's more realist to think this will happen than for these nations to unify.

Why not dismantle most of the EU apparatus? Let independent states determine their own affairs and return to them their sovereignty.

Yep. The EEC (see the Treaty of Rome) was fine. A bureaucratic moloch that undermines our sovereignty is not.

Most Europeans seem to be asleep. They only get agitated and demonstrate when their social welfare benefits are cut back by a few inches. Until then, the march to full-blown totalitarianism marches on, with Schulz as the Fuhrer.

It does, sadly. Cannot count on my government either; they would gladly give every euro Oli Rehn demands of them. New world order. Now they are f*cking with our pensions. I'm quite pessimistic about the future.

My countries government doesn't care at all about the people. They just do what the troika tells them to do.Salaries are plunging, thousands lose their works everyday.Nothing to look forward to.

The eurozone should be scrapped entirely.Only germany is benefiting from this situation.

That's exactly what the EU and many of its member states are trying to accomplish with the ongoing assault on freedom of speech and expression, i.e. "hate speech" laws. The thought police are in effect.

It's sad that in 2013, with the fabulous tool known as the internet, there are still so many people who fancy themselves astute political observers who don't know of the many prosecutions of individuals for "hate crimes" based on speech. It's one of several steps necessary for the progression of tyranny.

Blaming "the bankers" is simplistic and probably only a few inches away from blaming the Jews. The truth is more complex, but grounded in the expansion of the state and the superstate (the EU bureaucracy, in this case). Don't fall for the simplistic blame game of "the bankers". Reduce the size of the state, and you increase the freedom of the individual citizen.

That's exactly my point. Much of the population has been pacified into allowing the bureaucracy to not only (terribly) manage the economy, but also to police their social and political conduct via how they express themselves. You're a dutiful servant, it seems. At least you're somewhat honest about your sympathies for tyranny.

Yeah sure I am because the agreement defines racist and xenophobic material as "written material, images or other representations of ideas or theories advocating, promoting or inciting hatred, discrimination or violence against individuals or groups, based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin, or religion and that's just such a bad thing to support

He's at least right in the sense that there appears to be widespread support for restrictions on political speech among all Europeans. Most of Europe simply doesn't have strong traditions of freedom of speech and expression.

That's called thought crime. The definition is so broad that we can fly a 747 through it. This is why people like Tommy Robinson get arrested in the UK while Anjem Choudhary are left alone.

Definitely. I'm close to some of the biggest cities. Plenty of places in Amsterdam and Rotterdam you shouldn't walk in past 8 pm. Certainly not if you're a woman. But that's all racist and everything is of course cuddly and safe and culturally enriching etc.

I don't know what to say. I wonder if the Netherlands will continue on its course of cultural and national suicide by continuing to import third-worlders to suck off the welfare state. Are left-wing politicians and the intelligentsia panders to these Mohamedans, as well? Are they rambling about how Mohamedans are being victimized by a xenophobic Dutch society that isn't inclusive enough? It's grotesque how the political left use the lowest rungs of society to bolster their voter bases, and I'm wonder if the same phenomenon is going on in your neck of the woods.

Yes to both questions, and the "lowest rungs" statement. And yeah, I think we're past the point of no return tbh. Just like the US has the 2 party paradigm, we have several big parties that will seemingly always control the government. We all yell and shout and complain like true Dutchies but come election day nobody else gets a vote. Smaller parties are disregarded as racist, extreme, fringe and all.

"when in actual fact most civilised people in Europe support hate speech laws"... That's why......

You're biased and so uninformed that you think it's even remotely possible to generalize europeans....

In this instance yes. You may also want to learn what a racist is because that quote in no way implies it

[QUOTE="MrPraline"][QUOTE="PC_gamer4life"][QUOTE="MrPraline"] Definitely.

Putting aside his monstrous mass murder of children, I'm sympathetic to Anders Breivik's political views. If things don't change, these nations will be destroyed.

I don't think it's racist to say that in one dimension, there is widespread support among Europeans. In this instance, widespread support for the Orwellian-named "hate speech" laws.

The EU by design, monstrosity that it is, is necessarily incompetent and disconnected from the people it claims to represent.

[QUOTE="MrPraline"][QUOTE="PC_gamer4life"][QUOTE="MrPraline"] Ah yeah. Greece is especially bad these days. Have to admit your problems are bigger than mine. My country is doing, relatively, well [Netherlands] but it seems our politicians are way too eager to succumb to Brussels law and budget dictations. Your country has definitely been f*cked hard by the EU/ECB/IMF and Goldman Sachs creative accounting, though.

What about immigration policies? Are you seeing a lot of burkas, niqabs, hijabs, and bearded Mohamedans walking around wearing desert-dweller garb?

Definitely. I'm close to some of the biggest cities. Plenty of places in Amsterdam and Rotterdam you shouldn't walk in past 8 pm. Certainly not if you're a woman. But that's all racist and everything is of course cuddly and safe and culturally enriching etc.

You are a disgrace to the tolerant culture we've managed to protect. I live in rotterdam and only see 1 burka a month tops. I don't agree with burkas either but your constant hatred against muslims has to stop. You are flat out lying about women being unsafe after 8 pm. and I live in the afrikaanderbuurt...just stop...:|

You're joking, right? The WBC is like twenty people. We see millions of Mohamedans like this demonstrating around the West, from Amsterdam to London to Marseilles to Sydney to Toronto. I guess I shouldn't be surprised of this stupidity, consider that earlier you spoke highly of the concept of the massive EU metastate.

As an isolated comment, an individual could assert Martin Schulz was expressing that he wants change, but not necessarily a unified European government. Apparently there are other individuals who were reminded of the nazis when interacting with him. Godref Bloom is one of them and that was two years ago. http://www.google.com/url?q=http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/danielhannan/100065308/a-ukip-mep-is-expelled-for-making-nazi-comparisons-oddly-no-one-complained-when-the-man-he-insulted-used-the-same-language-about-eurosceptics/&sa=U&ei=IjjXUZLoCIXm8QTr44GoDw&ved=0CCMQFjAB&usg=AFQjCNHX-z17P7Rz9PjimATThUva_Wn6sw
