[QUOTE="david_lck"] Yes, its our right as customers to choose whether to pay if the food is not good, except the bailing out part of course! :Pdavid_lck
No it isn't. If you eat their food, then they have taken a loss. Doesn't matter if you liked it or not. You have a right to request it be prepared differently while you are there, and you have the right not to come back if you don't like the place. You don't have a right to decide whether or not to pay when a service is provided to you. That's just stupid.
How'd you feel if you worked for someone and spent your own money in doing so, then he told you he didn't feel like paying you?
Don't know about you, but when a dish is not cooked properly or it tastes almost inedible, customers do have a right to choose not to pay unless they the chef can offer a replacement dish. Watch any of Gordon Ramsey's shows and see for yourself before undermining my post. Customers do not have any right whatsoever to NOT pay for a meal they chose to have. The retaurant/manager/chef can choose to comp the meal out of courtesy to try and salvage a customer - but unless they choose to do that - no customer has a right to REFUSE payment for a meal they "didnt like". If the meal was prepared with negligence they can refuse to pay and let the courts decide whether they should or shouldnt but if your only reason was because the meal was not prepared to your liking then they'll just say BUYER BEWARE.I was joking about the part where I intentionally don't pay at all. For a bet though, I would do it in a heartbeat. david_lckGrow up. Doing anything like that for a bet is seriously immature. I guess you watch too much south park and jackass.
Wow, man, you're so cool. I can only dream of being as awesome as you are. Wait..Was is everybody acting like honest little saints ?
I've run out of restaurants before with out paying, I've gone mailboxing before, I've vandalized, stole and done drugs and all that stuff. I don't do it anymore because I've grown up from days when I was 14. The point I'm trying to make is that everyon is saying running out on the bill is so awful yet I'm sure every one on this site has done their fair share of bad things before.

And you couldn't be more wrong, as I don't watch those shows.
