Yea during Ramadan it was kind of terrible, because I was dehydrated almost all the time, because of sun being so hot and fasting.
Constipation is the closest men can get to giving birth
cybrcatter
I think passing a kidney stone would be closer. I hope I never have that experience.

I have passed 3 stones already, the last one being so large they thought it was going to have to be removed instead. I have only been mildly constipated at best but i highly HIGHLY doubt it is even anywhere in the same ballpark as passing a stone.

How bad is a stone you ask? The last one ( biggest one ) i had was so bad that i clinched my teeth hard enough to make my gums bleed and had such violent pain induced vomiting that i ruptured a blood vessel in my eyeball.

I could not walk, sit, stand or anything for almost 2 weeks. The worst part about the pain is that it is SOOOOOO bad there is absolutely nothing you can do for it. The amount of pain medicine it would take to even dent the pain would kill you 4 times over.

Having them is bad enough that any time i have a pain that i think might be another stone ( im due for another one ) i panic and get crippled with fear at what im about to have to go through.

None of what i have said even remotely gives justice to exactly how bad it is.

I was told to lower my salt intake and drink lots of water on a daily basis to flush out any fledgling stones before they could form. It has a lot to do with diet and i still had 2 after i made all the changes they told me to make. In comparison my mother has had a double digit amount of stones by the age of 50 so i probably have some predisposition. I had my first one in 2000 and my 2nd one in 2005. Its 2010 now.....so.

Apparently the 2 biggest things for prevention are less protein and salt and drinking lots of water.

When I had cancer, if I remember correctly, chemo gave me that particular problem. Ugh.
