Anyone ever feel like video games have run their course in terms of personal enjoyment. I haven't bought a game since September and I have no games that I'm looking forward to. It took a trial with Rift for me to realize that I completely loathe MMO's now and will never touch one again. Every shooter is just a CoD rip-off with no originality. RPGs aren't my thing. Sports games are fun for a few games but have no staying power.

Ever get the feeling that you are just through with gaming?

What about strategy and action-adventure games?

Thats the only one I currently play. Civ 5. A nice time killer but doesn't really carry the kick it used to.

Yeah, I've had the same feeling. I got it after buying four-five games that I never finished. Felt like a waste of money, and then I got the feeling that I had to finish the games cause I paid for them. Not really the feeling I wanted.

How long have you been a gamer? Maybe try going back to what got you in to gaming in the first place and see if that nostalgic feeling gets you excited about playing games again. Also, there seems to be a lot of pressure about buying and finishing games for the sake of buying and finishing them. Don't feel down about it just play something that catches your eye even if what catches your eye is few and far between.

Maybe you just need a break. Happens to me a few times a year.

I play fewer games, but I game now more than ever. I'm just more selective.

This topic would be a better fit for General Games Discussion.
