only had 1 that i recall and it was horrible... was in hs during track practice... we had completed a track workout and were going on a cool down run... while we were running on the sidewalk near my school my left calf cramped up horribly... it was painful as hell.. i fell on the ground and grabbed it yelling to my friend to stretch it out.. it sucked.

i always get them while walking in the shallow end of a pool, and when i sit at an awkward angle. i sorta just try to stretch my leg out to get rid of it, it hurts like hell for like 2 seconds but it goes away quickly that way.

Yes, and I used to get one at least once every few weeks. Then I found out about a year ago that you can prevent them by being properly hydrated every day, and I've only had one since.

I HATE leg cramps, they just plain suck.

I used to get them when I would drink too much soda (sugar) and that's one reason I went cold turkey on it.

It's been almost 9 months since I've had soda, no regrets.

Every year at the start of swim team season, I would get one daily for about 2 weeks, then they would stop. Very painful, its hard to get out of a pool when you have one of them. I used to get them a lot of night, but I found that if you flip over on your stomach and shove your knee into the bed, the cramp usually stops. At least for me.

Which leg are we talking about?

That one, that one, or THAT one?

Yeah, I hate those. I get them every so often while I'm sleeping.

I've had one sitting, I've had one doing situps, I've had one wrestling and I've had one while surfing. One time I had the abductor in my foot, my calf and my quad cramp all at once

Foot cramps are worse :|DrSponge

Yes they are, I've inherited this condition from my mother and OMG they hurt so bad. And its so hard to get it to go away.

But yes I've had leg cramps in a variety of situations ranging from sex to scuba diving...

They are not fun at all but I doubt I could think of a worse time to have it happen then those two situations mentioned above...

Hell yes!

The most memorable one I had was when I was sleeping. I like to sleep close to the wall on my side, facing East, which is also the direction of the wall in this case. One night I woke up to a particularly bad cramp in my right calf. I raised my knee up from the pain and since the wall happens to be there, I ended up kneeing the wall quite hard. My immediate reaction to that new pain sensation was to jerk my head forward. Well the wall still happens to be there so I end up headbutting the wall. So after that series of events I end up still having a terrible cramp, a pain in my knee, and a headache all while trying to not scream out certain words because I don't want to wake up my roommate.
