I saw some dude putting a pretty decent beating on his girlfriend outside of my apartment. I watched for a while, but then it seemed to be getting to the point of serious injury. I went outside and told the dude I called the police (I didn't), and the girl told me to go **** myself and mind my own business. Then I went back upstairs and cheered the dude on while he brought the pain. wstfld
My friend was an immigrant (like I once was) and had no friends except me, so I introduced him to all my friends. A year later, out of fear that he would lose my friends as his friends when he moved away to university, he spread rumors about me that were reasonable enough to be believable, but completely untrue and really really hurtful to me. basically, to save his relationships, he sabotaged mine.
My efforts to try and fix things were in vain, as he would simply deny that I tried to fix things or insist that I was aggravating him further. I lost a lot of friends because of that guy.
My advice: leave it alone. Trying to fix things often does the opposite.
Proverbs 18:24
A man [that hath] friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend [that] sticketh closer than a brother
Zechariah 13:6And [one] shall say unto him, What [are] these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, [Those] with which I was wounded [in] the house of my friends.God commands us to be friendly. He doesn't promise that others will befriend us back
Not really trying to help someone out, but last week I started my first session of class, and went to sit down. I usually don't care where I sit so I sat in between these two girls. At the end of class, The girl sitting to the right of me asked "Can I ask you something? Why did you decide to sit here? I mean it seems kind of scrunched up". She said it all smiley as if not to sound like a **** although I'm pretty sure that's what she was trying to convey. Point is, it's a small class, so she pretty much called me out in front of the whole class, I'm sure the other five people in class heard. I guess I can understand, but really what a **** move.
You should have said "Why did you decide to wear that top, it totally doesn't match your shoes" And the other girl would say, "Oh no you didn't!" And everyone would point and laugh and go ,"oh snaps!" or" uuuuuuuuuu"Not really trying to help someone out, but last week I started my first session of class, and went to sit down. No, I'm not a pansy. This is not to say that I have anything against flowers.
I love all of God's creations.
That is what pisses me off about GS. If someone is talking crap, you can't retaliate because you get a moderation. The best thing to do in your situation would be to report them. It's very satisfying if you get them banned. To answer your question, no I've never gotten my feelings hurt trying to help someone.

You can. You just have to be...surreptitious/discrete about it.
That is what I love about this place. Anyone can flame/troll with no rules, but it takes a true master to do it while 'the man' is watching so close
Trust your feelings!xaosNothing productive will come out of crying in a corner while sucking one's thumb.
[QUOTE="cybrcatter"]Nothing productive will come out of crying in a corner while sucking one's thumb. I expected a better ending in that little story Almost any other ending would have been productive, though Edit:@cybr Jinx, you owe me a ****[QUOTE="xaos"]Trust your feelings!rawsavon

Same thing happened to me, but in a different way, however, if he reports u , don't slip into his level and do the same, just leave him with his 1400 grams which i doubt he has as what u''ve said about him. If you got nothin', u got nothin' to lose, so take any kind of that "nothin" outta your life,,Alan_Wake_xthanks for the advice.

Nice to know there are folks you can always count on in the end You would be hard pressed to find someone more dependable than I am. I bend over backwards on daily basis to make sure everyone gets what they need

you should have said: "why so i could sit between you too babes duh!"
I tried to help a guy on the Battlefield 2 forums. But he turned out to not just be impatient or unaware of people joking around on the internet (as I saw him tell someone to leave the thread before hand), but he was also just a ****.
:P
Just say "f*** it" and move on. If this was real life it could be different, but since it's the internet, you aren't obligated to "maintain" any sort of friendship (or sense of manners for that part).ff7fan2
Yeah, go to hell.
