I am super depressed. My cat that I have had for three years is missing. I am guessing he got out last night before we went to bed. I don't know what I am going to do if I can't find him. He is like my child. I am attached to him that much. I have went walking the neighborhood with no luck so far. I sure hope he is alive and safe and that I can find him soon. He is a really smart cat and very well behaved. It is tearing me up inside that he is out there all alone. I know he has to be scared to death because he is an indoor only cat and is always scared when I just take him out on the front porch. I did some research on the net and it seems my best bet is to go out at night and hunt for him because i guess during the day, most scared cats hide during the day and then come out at night. I feel like my kid is out there missing. And my other cat has been depressed all day as well over him missing. They play together all the time and now she has nobody to play with. Funny how a 6'3' grown man can be in tears over a cat, but sure enough, I am.

Don't worry, sometimes cats have mood switches and don't come home for a couple of weeks.Mine used to do that.. and if they're injured thy generally dont come home because they dont wanna be a burden to the owner, dont worry your cat will be home soon

Sorry about your loss TC. No, I haven't ever lost a pet, however my last dog who was the best animal I've ever had would occasionaly get loose at night, but he was really smart and loyal to us so we'd find him at the door in the morning ready to come in. Good luck finding your cat :)

When I was little, we had 2 dogs. They ran away one day. My dad put an ad in the paper with a reward, and someone returned them a week later. It sucks, but there's still hope for your cat.
