Then you've only proven that you'r no better than bush. Maybe he doesn't actually use the thing. Maybe he just wears it for show and it feels more comfortable on his right wrist.
Actually the best place to position your watch is on the bottom side of your weak wrist.
You wear your watch on your weak arm, not your dominate arm. If you're right handed you put the watch on your left hand because you do everything with your right hand so you're less likely to damage your watch. Since a right handed person habitually tasks with their right hand their left arm is free for a full range of motion, allowing them to look at their watch while tasking. If you're left handed your watch should be on your right hand.
The purpose of watch placement is so you don't have to stop what you're doing to look at your watch. Like when your writing for example. You can continue writing while you look at your watch.
It's practical as well as tactical placement of equipment. Just like you should always carry a flashlight with your weak hand. This way your strong hand is free. Plus equipment can be more effectively inventoried giving you space for proper placement of equipment that you need to retrieve with your right hand. If you're right handed you put your flashlight somewhere that you can easily retrieve it with your left hand.
