I reckon it's absolutely, 100% real. There's just so much proof. Unless God put them there to trick us.
Now, where are my Flame-proof clohtes?
I think it has a lot of possibility to be true but I don't believe Darwin came up with it. It's not that f**king far-etched an idea... so stop giving that bozo all the credit.Kev_Boy
No one's giving him all the credit. If you even studied Biology, you would know that he proposed the idea, only a hypothesis then, but current research has solidified it as a scientific theory.
This "Darwinism" you're thinking of and that Creationists refer to is not the same thing as The Theory of Evolution.
It's the same as the theory of gravity, there's been extensive research on it, but it's not called Newtonism, even though Newton was the first to consider it.
The world needs a better education system...
What's an evolution?
Is it similiar to an emolution?
MissRiotmaker
Naw, emolution hasn't quite arrived yet, evolution is already here and happening.

No, but if it really concerns you I'll stop responding to your posts. :| They just happen to be ones I tend to enjoy responding to, all sorts of possibilities.

Not going to happen. I'm already having one with half of OT. :|

No, just a relatively quiet forum combined with frequent responses by a certain poster and my love for double meanings in posts.

More like an internet restraining-order. :) "You must stay 3 web-pages away from MissRiotmaker at all times or you will face jail-time".

Ouch, that's harsh. You could have at least shacked up and then taken half of his internetz.

Would almost be worth it given the campus demographics, but no. :|
Personally, I think that if a caterpillar can turn into a butterfly, then there's no reason not to accept evolution even if you don't really know exactly how it works (though it's always a fun read until you reach the parts you can't understand because you didn't take biology or chemistry or physics in university).Zagrius
But I take it that's how a caterpillar/butterfly is programmed to grow, though.
Obviously. But if you see things change, why can't you accept the possibility that other things change? Heck, you try to claim that DNA, the exact thing that changes between every generation, is what keeps things in line. That's like saying that an amoeba has a definite shape.Zagrius
Because DNA only contains information on how to become themselves.

and sometimes it doesn't replicate perfectly casusing mutations, causing evolution.I think it's real personally, there's so much evidence, it's difficult to deny.Thanatos1337
I thought this thread was going to be about evolution...not if it's real.
Ever heard of a dog? There...proof evolution is real.
I'd rather discuss the dynamics of evolution than the existence of it :?
I don't see how so many think it's true anymore. More and more scientists (unreligious scientists btw) are believing it to be false due to some of it's major flaws (read Darwin's Black Box for example). It's just a way of helping the athiest be intellectually fulfilled. Dispite it's many flaws, many still believe in it because they do not like the alternatives. I used to believe evolution to be true until I realized how many problems it has.mindstormIt's still better than "God made us" or "Intelligent Designers made us". Evolution can only be disproven which those two "alternative theories" don't do.

Darwin might have been incorrect on how long it takes. But you're treating it like it's some kind of religion.
Evolution has nothing to do with religion.
Evolution is how we explain how the different species on the planet exist. There are dominant and recessive genes that when coupled with other genes produce mutations that creates a new appearance/body/sensory organs/etc. for the off spring.
The offspring may see an advantage or disadvantage from their new appearance and that could result in the creation of a "new species."
Evolution doesn't explain why changes take place which is where your religion comes in. You may believe there is a purpose to the changes or that it's completely random. That doesn't change the fact that "new species" are born on a daily basis as a result of evolution.

No matter how many times I have asked that question, I have never gotten an answer. Darwin's black box has been completely rejected by the scientific community though.

and any rational person will believe that evidence is better than no evidence.
Hence Evolution>>creationism.
