I don't see why I have to be called anything special for having a different sexual preference than most people. I am a regular person, who happens to be attracted to the same sex. It's not a big deal, in my book, and shouldn't require special names.

A person can also be bisexual, asexual, or any of the other countless sexual attractions people have. I mean really, some people are sexually attracted to popping balloons. I really don't see why homosexuality is such a big deal....

The Bible says a lot of absurd things, especially in Levitucus and the OT. If you're Christian enough to follow the rule saying Homosexuality is a sin then why not follow the others?

Why do some use the "Homosexuality is a sin" line from the Bible but not any other absurd law mentioned in it like eating certain foods together or growing certain crops together? The OT is littered with ridiculous laws andactivities deemed "Sinful" by God.

Labels are important because how bad would you feel if you started building a relationship with someone only to find out later that they were only sexually attracted to a different sex.

Respect for others is even more important though.

Fair Enough. But from what I've seen, most draw scripture from Leviticus when citing the Bible. I really don't think people really read the Bible and realize how many little absurd "laws" (loose term) are in there.

If it says to love your fellow man and neighbor, why does it need to put an asterik on someone just because of sexual orientation? It's absurd.

Uh, I think indications of chemistry come first. It's not as though people walk up to eachother and say "Are you heterosexual?" To which the other replies "No" then they both share a good laugh and say "Well at least we didn't pursue anything, all thanks to these handy labels!" Followed by them both doing some sarcastic thumbs up.

It just happens, relationships build, chemistry forms, and you find a right moment, and just go for it. Relationships rarely start out with the question "Do you share my sexuality?"

Though this all might have nothing to do with what you were trying to say, just my goofy mind wandering.
