the new update is really unnecessary. every second that thing on the top right keeps putting more stuff on it and it bugs me. any way to disable it?

I'm not seeing it right now, but some apps (Zynga applications has that feature for example...) has it up. I don't find it annoying, though there are time I wish can disable it to where it doesn't show me on the feed. If I choose to be offline in order not to talk to people, but they see me playing Bejewel or something, I'd hate for them to think I'm ignoring them...

Apparently if u change ur language to English UK the new update thing wont be there.

I don't even know the meaning of Facebook anymore. It's turning into Twitter 2.0 and now these strange updates. Not a good sign... :(

Sums up my thoughts on your opinion.

It's not that bad. It has a ticker at the top right that shows you things your friends have been doing like "Dave liked Maria's Picture". The other thing is even when you go to "Most Recent", it has a few statuses at the top which were the most popular from the day before, in case you missed them I guess. Under that it's Most Recent as normal. They have the new group thing on the side which they have had up for a little while now that everyone has been asking for forever but Google+ did it better. I went through and deleted everyone out of them because I just can't be bothered with it at this point.

I like that it allows me to choose which friends get to see my posts and which don't, but why did they feel the need to take away my option to switch between top news stories and most recent ones?
