so hard to anaswer this one...i guess south park cause family guy is more like the simpons but in a different way...but i've been watching simpsons for like forever so guess a little change is in perspective.
I can't decide. Both were hysterical when they were in their primes, and both have leveled off some (which is to be expected) As a satire, no doubt South Park. As a show that makes you say WTF and laugh consistantly, no doubt Family Guy.
I'd say Sotuh Park, though Family Guy has it's moments. South Park is cool for the commentary it gives on some big issues, and usually, they're totally right...
Besides, Drew Carey got a sword through his head in one episode. I have never seen that anywhere else in my life.
they are both great shows, but south park is far better in my opinion. family guy is top notch mindless comedy, but south park manages to be great satire on top of being consistantly hilarious.
South Park tries to follow somewhat of a plot. Family Guy spouts off too many random flashbacks, and because of that, there is only about 10 minutes of actual story. In the end, South Park by a landslide.

simpsons is STILL funnier than both of them...south park was right ..family guy is nothing but a bunch of 80s references and flashbacks..however South Park as of late is nothing but scatological satire on societal issues....Simpsons on the other hand is still doing almost 100% origional material and that is much harder comedy to make work..so granted I may laugh "less" during a Simpsons episode but the episodic content is much better written. Granted Dana Gould (current writter for simpsons) is no Conan 'o Brian (considered the golden age writter for the simpsons) BUT the humor is still there. Matt and Trey and Seth McF are just cashing in on their babies and milking all the same type of humor.
damn.... first i forgot that a new family guy was on and now i just remembered i missed south park, but i really like both. Maybe i like south park a bit more.
South Park by a mile... Those Cartoon Wars episodes prove it... the makers of South Park were not only able to draw Family Guy almost perfectly but also mimiced the show very well
the South Park people can make an episode of Family Guy without a doubt

South Park & Family Guy are my favorite televison shows ever. No question about it. But I have to say that South Park is the better show, for a number of reasons. South Park is smarter then family guy, and you have to be smarter to get it then with Family Guy. When Family Guy does a joke, it's just a small skit for 10-20 seconds about it, using "Thats just like the time when..." or something similar, which has nothing to do with the plot. South Park jokes always have to do with the plot, and they attack society in a full episode. South Park don't care what they say at any degree. As much as I love family guy, I think South Park is superior.

You are crazy. I love the simpsons and all, but there aren't very many laugh out loud funny parts in their episodes. Even the old ones. Almost every episode of Family Guy & South Park have laugh out loud funny parts.

I would have to say that New South Park is much much better then old South Park. Espessically when it got to season 8. Season 8 has to be the best of all. Family Guy gets funnier every season as well, but I think Season 4 probably holds out as being the funniest.
