HOUSTON – A son is dead after police said his own father killed him following a dispute over a video game on Sunday.

It happened at the El Paraiso apartments on Corporate and Sharpcrest in southwest Houston.

Police responded to the shooting around 3:30 a.m. to find the son lying dead in the apartment.

Distraught family members told police that the two started arguing over a video game, and for some reason the dad pulled out a gun and fired.

Police said the son was in his late teens or early twenties.

Police are still searching for the father who fled the scene.

There is no additional information at this time.

While Im sure most, if not all of us, have been in disagreement with our moms and dads over our video game habits, Im sure you never expected dad to come after you with a gun and shoot you dead.

It is scary. Im at a loss for words.

It's taking every bit of restraint I've got to not make a joke about health pickups.

the world? I am sorry, but this kind of thing mainly seems to happen in the US... I spent a lot of time in Europe and Canada and these kind of crazy things rarely happen... maybe because gun are not easely available in these country?Franko_3

Whoah, whoah, whaoh back it up...The family members were there and noone got the kids age?! Seems a bit sloppy on the PD's part. Anyway, this is as bad as that story where the son killed his dad or mom to play Halo 3. I can't remember the details, but they limited his playing time on it, so he killed them...sad addictions.

Further proves my theory that humans are idiots. If the father is found to be guilty send him to gaol for life in solitary, death isn't good enough for people who kill their own kids ...
