In My Time of Dying - Led Zeppelin
And finally, short by 6 seconds but what the hell, Forty-Five Hundred Times - Status Quo
Strobe by deadmau5? :DNAPK1NSAwesome song! I was going to say this. Also, Sleep - 'Dopesmoker' (63:00 mins) The Berzerker - 'Farewell' (20:08 mins) Pelican - 'Woods' (12:58 mins) Meshuggah - 'I' (21:00 mins) Symphony X - 'The Odyssey' (24:09) Godspeed You Black Emperor - 'Moya' (10:52 mins) I'd have also said Blut Aus Nord's 'Procession of Dead Clowns' but I see it's only 9:36 minutes long :(
I take it you don't listen to Dream Theater. Thing is with me. The music I listen to is able to keep me engaged for up to 30 mminutes. In a single song. The one I listed goes for 25[QUOTE="indzman"]
ummm ... my patience runs out after 4-5 mins with a single song , but i can reapeatedly listen to same song for 30 hours at a stretch or on a loop :)

In fact, this thread was originally going to be "Favorite 20+ minute song". But then I remembered. Not many people here like my music
wow a pretentious 15 year old who listens to a band who caries really no actual musical skill. This is....wow.
The Last Baron by Mastodon
Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Iron Maiden
Crimson by Edge of Sanity
There are more, but I'm lazy.

Yes I did. They understand composition but for me more than half of the music is about the feeling which Dream Theatre has about none.
There's one come really close to ten minutes and some that go way over ten minutes:
Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians (54 Minutes)
Frank Zappa's Watermelon in Easter Hay (Over 9 Minutes)
Brian Eno's 1/1 from Ambient One: Music for Airports (About 17 Minutes)
Yes' Close to the Edge (About 19 Minutes)

You either 1. Are trolling or 2. Havnt listened to a single dream theater song. Its ok to say you dont like them but to say they have no musical skill is just plain ignorant. By the way, i also like the count of Tuscany by dream theater. 19 min[QUOTE="iloverikku11"][QUOTE="DmadFearmonger"]I take it you don't listen to Dream Theater. Thing is with me. They can write decent compositions but I feel absolutely nothing when I listen to them which is what music is supossed to be for me, feeling. :)
Favorite:
10,000 Days (Wings pt. 2) - Tool @11:14
honorable mentions:
Rosetta Stoned - Tool @11:11
Third eye-Tool @13:47
This is about all I could think of.Disease, Injury, Madness by Between the Buried and Me. Their best song IMO.

Man, when i listen to change of seasons i cant not feel anything. That song is so full of emotion its un believable. Regardless of if there songs dont give you feelings, its no reason to say they have no musical skill.Ode to Joy (Symphony No. 9) ... wait a tic ...or is it better to put Symphony No.9 (Ode to Joy) ... whatever the case that piece by Ludwig Van Beethoven :P
10 minutes is an average song for me (I listen to a lot of Prog)
Dream Theater- In The Presence of Eneimies. (Parts I and II)
DmadFearmonger
I love part II
I usually find that 6-8 minutes is an optimal song length, unless the song is multi-parted. This being said my favourite 10+ minute song is probably Thick as a Brick by Jethro Tull, specifically because most of its "parts" aren't too long and it avoids excessive wankery. There's a fine balance between being too repetitive and too wanky when songs get longer, and even the best of prog bands fail at finding the line more often than not.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFFWDUhuMDg- Opeth, A Fair Judgment
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOpidgBVa5s- Sleep, Dopesmoker (this song is a staggering63 minutes)
I have a few...
Keeper of the Seven Keys- Helloween
Destiny- Stratovarius
The Voyage- Timeless Miracle
Lost at Sea- Wuthering Heights
And Then There Was Silence- Blind Guardian
The Furthest Shore- While Heaven Wept
John Petrucci - Animate/Inanimate
Soothsayer by buckethead is almost 10.
Metallica - Mercyful Fate - Mix of 5 or 6 songs by Mercyful Fate
