Cheap beer: Moosehead or Molson Canadian (good for camping trips or when a bar has nothing else)

More Expensive: Wild Rose IPA, Alley Kate Amber Ale

Most Over-rated: Corona. I still don't know why people drink this crap. There's a reason why it has the nickname "Mexican Piss Water"

The more expensive beers that I listed aren't actually much more expensive, but they're well-made craft brews so they're WAY tastier

As far as "cheap" beers go. I enjoy Pabst. If it's in a 40...I'll go OE.

However, I'll rarely turn down a brewski.

Some of the more impresive beers I've had include Dead Guy Ale and Maudite. As a general rule, if there is a beer available that I haven't tried I will consume it.

Lately, I've been going towards leinkuegal(sp), but I feel like that kick is close to an end. It's a refreshing wheat beer with orange flavors. Not at all heavy, but far from watery.

The beer that I find to be the most disappointing is the American Lager. However, due to it's higher absoulte gravite, it is a great choice if your goal is to get ruined but you don't have the money for cocktails.

However, Scotch is my drink of choice (although I try to avoid it lest I choose too much).

Favourites: Molson 15/16 (but it's impossible to find now), Rolling Rock, and a local one called Grasshopper.

Expensive: Stella Artois, mostly because you get a fancy glass when you drink it at a bar

Over-Rated: (I'll probably get modded for this) Guinness.

Grasshopper=local? Do you live in Calgary, or somewhere near here? Because that's where I'm from. And I kinda agree with Guinness. It's better than the standard Bud/Miller/Coors crap, but people hail it as the holy grail of beers, when it's really just an average stout. However, it is a gateway beer to bigger and better things, so we have to at least respect it for that :P

Cheap Beer: Tecate is the only cheap beer (in a can) that has flavor. As for Bud, Miller, and Coors...I dont drink it. Period. Maybe if we are playing beirut.

Favorite beers are:

EKU 28 by Kulmbacher brewery. Its an amazing doppelbock that goes down smooth despite being 11% alcohol.

Chimay, any of them. Just a good everyday Belgian beer, goes great with food.

Pliny the Elder...so much savory hops in this thing it effects the mouthfeel.

Green Flash Imperial IPA...great aroma hops, and not too bitter. A flavorful IPA you can drink all day long.

Old Rasputin Imperial Stout...heavy, bitter, and deep.

11 Anniversary by Firestone Walker brewery...aged beers of various types blended together like wine to form an amazingly deep, complex, and deliscious beer. Open a bottle, pour a few ounces into a brandy snifter, and let it come to room temperature and share with friends.

I know I am missing a bunch, by anything super high in hops I enjoy, while I also loooooove malty beers. A good barleywine, Belgian ale, and Scotch ale are good too. So are black lagers.

My favourite cheap beer would probably be Rickard's Red or Sleeman's Honey Brown, since they have wider distribution than something like Big Rock's Grasshopper. I suppose they aren't the cheapest beer imaginable, but I can't stand Coors/Kokanee/Molson/Budweiser or anything like that. They're basically water. As for the others, I have a lot. Okanagan Springs makes a mean Porter, although you can't drink much of it - it's thick, malty, and fairly high alcohol. It's almost cheesecake-like in its decadence. Spinnaker's has a fantastic Nut Brown ale, and Granville Island's Maple Cream Ale is good too, though the former has much more body and isn't as light and crisp as the Cream Ale. My current favourite all-purpose beer would be Lighthouse's Race Rocks, which is an amber ale sort of in the vein of Rickard's Red, only better. It's available in almost every location here in Victoria and a few in Vancouver, although if you go any further than that, good luck. Their porter is decent, but once you've had OK Springs, it's hard to drink any other porter and be satisfied. Phillips is a small brewery here with some fantastic beers - their highlight is the Amnesiac double-hop IPA, which is so loaded with hops that your first sip will probably cause you to cough. As you continue, however, you'll start separating out the flavours and your task is so monumental that you won't have a chance to figure out every flavour by the time the bottle is empty. That's why you always need two.

Oh yeah, and for anyone who brews, the kit with the best result I've had so far would be one manufactured by The Brewhouse in Delta BC. They have a wide variety of beers (I've tried the stout, IPA, cream ale, and oktoberfest ones so far) and I'm sure they're all competent, but the stout is amazing considering it comes from a kit. It's far better than the tinned kits and benefits from being less concentrated - you only add 8L of water to bring it to a full 23L rather than the tinned varieties that require the full amount of water and sugar from you. It's more like a wine kit in that regard. Anyway, you can easily add to it - a stout would benefit from a little bit of vanilla, maybe some cloves - but the kit itself is quite good. The oktoberfest was good, the cream ale okay, although I can't say I'm too happy with the IPA so far. I don't think I screwed up, but it doesn't taste like an IPA...probably a limitation of kit hops, and it would fare better if I boiled my own prior to fermentation and added extras.

I think that there is an unfair advantage. It is fairly difficult for me to find distributors of "real" beer. As such, I am often forced to consume the more prevelent brands.

I've only been to one establishment that has the "real beers" that have been listed. that being said, I've enjoyed the ones I have tried.

Thank your lucky stars that you have a great selection.

If Im just drinking cheap at a bar to get a buzz Ill drink Miller or Coors light, if I want to drink a beer I actually like to drink I'll go with Becks. I prefer light as compared to dark beer.

+2 str, -2int, -1 agi, +5 charismaJandurin
What do str, int, and agi mean?

i spelled out charisma because i hate CHA or CH as an abbreviation. You must not play... RPGs? Anyway, strength, intelligence, agility That's more fallout, D&D does dexterity, not agility.

Your GM let you role a dragonborn? Man! Why is it that every GM I ever had was so lame! I seriously wasn't allowed to start with magic missle! WHAT ELSE IS A MAGE SUPPOSED TO DO! "I run screaming into the woods" "you trip over a root and take 1d4 damage" "...i'm dead"
