Favorite -hard- alcohol drink and why? -poll'd

Vodka because it mixes well with anything. I'm curious about something though. Why do people say vodka is tasteless? It most definitely isn't. It tastes like alcohol.guynamedbilly

Vodka has more than a taste. It nests under your tongue and throws rocks down your throat.

i'm cutting back on the alcohol because i was drinking way too much and i was developing a problem so I had to stop... maybe if i feel like its safe to dirnk again i will someday... but for no i gotta say can't do it :(

but when I did drink... my favorite drinks were...

(everything on the rocks here... and to avoid as bad of a hangover and colories choose Diet Soda)

Vodka + Sunkist

Rum + Dr. Pepper

Gin + Tonic + Lime

Tequilla + Sprite + Lemon

Frozen Margarita

Vodka + Sprite + Lime

Vodka + Fresca

So basically liquor and soda... haha.. tequilla doesn't mix well at all with most sodas though... its pretty good with sprite or in margaritas tho.

I'm amazed more people haven't mentioned rum. It's the only hard alcohol I actually enjoy taking straight.

Irish Whiskey for me mainly to honor my ancestors and I've grown fond of the taste. Though vodka would easily be my second choice.

Whiskey if I'm dinking it straight.

But I feel bad about mixing that stuff, so I'll go for Cutty Sark sometimes.

I honestly haven't tried tons of different kinds of liquor, but bourbon is the only one so far that I've actively disliked. S*** is nasty.

not gin, not gin is my favorite because it is not gin.

i'd drink a litreof pickle brine before taking a shot of gin again....

I almost never have mixed drinks, but if I do it's a rum and coke.

If it was last week, I would have said vodka. Because it's this week, I'll go with rum.

To each their own. But I'll have to disagree with you. Particularly if we're talking about a decent sipping bourbon such as Knob Creek, Woodford Reserve or Bulleit. Now, if you're drinking the cheap crap that you have to shoot just to get down, then it probably does taste like crap. But that can be said for any cheap booze, not just bourbon.

I do love me some Rum.
