Favorite movie of the year?

What is your favorite movie of the year?Push is mine.

Guys I forgot The Dark Knight was made in 2008 my bad.

You guys reminded me, I LOVED 'UP'!!!!

I really liked Avatar. Yeah it's got ideas we've seen before (surrogates), but it's an awesome presentation.

Inglorious Basterds, followed by Avatar.

Okay, The Dark Knight was the best in 2008

batman....really love how ledger played as joker.. too bad his gone

I haven't seen all the movies I wanted to this year (Inglorious Bastards being one of them), but my top mentions are:

District 9

Star Trek

Coraline

Avatar

Ponyo... followed by Up.:oops:

Avatar might have got it if the only seats left were not smack dab in-front of the screen.:(

Coraline was great as well.

Up, though I still need to see Avatar, Up in the Air, Coraline, and Inglorious Basterds, all of which are supposed to be great.

Avatar so far, District 9 for second. I also loved Watchmen. The funny thing is they D-9 and Avatar had basically the same plot :roll:

Up and Inglorious Basterds.

District 9 took the cake for me.

Up, though I still need to see Avatar, Up in the Air, Coraline, and Inglorious Basterds, all of which are supposed to be great.

Up was too kiddy for me, nothing as great as Wall-e

Inglorious Basterds was too slow and boring.

District 9 was the most original movie that released this year, and Avatar is the biggest and overall the best this year, all my opinion of course

I think Up in the air is Jason Reitman's best film. He is really maturing as a director. The ending while a bit predictable was very effective. I think Jason is much better than his dad Ivan. His films are much more mature and interesting while Ivan either makes fun goofy films like ghostbusters, or crap.

I have never heard of Basterd the movie. Sounds interesting though, I like the title.

Probably The Hangover, I'm a sucker for a good comedy that I can quote.

I really enjoyed Up, Districit 9, and Watchmen. I need a second viewing on Inglouris Basterds to get a better opinion on it.
