Favorite music genre?.

putting words into my mouth much? i wasn't even referring to reggaeton, which i can take in small doses, i was actually referring to tejano music.... basically mexican polka. but aside from some of the real musicians mexico has to offer (lets go with Paco de luca for beginners) majority of it is just that, same bass and chordal progressions through each song. my coworker hates it because i point it out to her whenever she turns her radio over to that, she always asks "so does this song have that too?" at which point i hum it out and she gets pissed. not my fault if the majority of the music churned out isn't that innovative and is generally repetitive. btw, if you're wondering i've been studying music theory, composition and application for the last 10 years or so, so i do have a little foreground to base this on.

I dont care if you're Beethoven himself. All I know is that I like what I like and hate what I hate and that means I like the "simplicity" of regional mexican music.

if you like the musical equivalent of a 2 year old drawing on a napkin with a crayon then fine, enjoy your "art" but don't try to insult something you obviously have no knowledge of.

I will insult anything I want. You just assume that I have no knowledge of that kind of music. People around me love that kind of music and it's not like being around those people wouldn't make me find a reason to dislike it aint it?

I could find something I liked in each choice pretty easily, but Rock is definitely my favorite.

as for solid link or whatever, obviously you have either no or very very very limited knowledge of music based on what you have said. especially the whole latin music > better than everything else. knock yourself out and insult whatever you want, just expect to get flamed by everybody who knows more than you which appears to be a pretty large chunk of people.
