Favorite Rap Artists

Few rappers are any good these days. The genre IMO is now dry with all of this wanna-be gangster crap. All of my favorite rappers are basically old-school. Eazy-E is my all time favorite, Boyz-N-Da-Hood is the song that got me interested in rap, and Eazy actually WAS gangster. The Beatie Boys' rap songs were pretty powerfull and cool too, like "Hey Ladies"

Immortal technique, 2-pac, eminem, 50 cent (Back when he was good), Flex

Immortal Technique, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Devil'z Rejectz, and Goretex.

Makaveli, Devin the Dude, Trae, Z-Ro, Outkast, DMX, Fat Pat, H.A.W.K., Do or Die, and a few others pretty much can't stand most of it on the radio.

Wu-Tang Clan, (all of them) Eazy-E, NaS

Eminem and Will Smith.

2pac, Nas, Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, Public Enemy, N.W.A., Outkast, Cyne, Immortal Technique, Bone Thugs In Harmony, Jay-Z, Big Pun, Kanye West (I don't really like his new album), Lupe Fiasco,The Roots, Wu Tang Clanand Common.

Nas, Ghostface Killah, Big L, Masta Ace & Slick Rick. My top five DOA. 8)

Wu Tang Clan, Binary Star, The Coup, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Q-Tip, De La Soul, Jurassic 5, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Raekwon, O.D.B., Atmosphere, Eric B. & Rakim, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, OutKast, and a few others too, but I don't feel like opening up my playlist to look them up.

I would have to say that Sage Francis and ODB tie for my favorite rappers, however Sweatshop union and Immortal Technique are up there as well.

Out of the rappers i've listened to, he's the only one with good lyrics, while the majority rap about sex, guns and drugs, and are simply after money.

The Roots and Gang Starr are my favorites. The only other rapper I listen to consistently is Slim Thug.

Edit: Lupe Fiasco as well. Only his more serious songs, though. Songs like Streets On Fire.
