As a kid, I suppose I was never big into sports, but my boyfriend is a really big fan of hockey and sometimes we watch the games together on TV and he explains to me what he likes about it.
He explains that sports are a type of warfare of sorts, and to him, hockey is almost like the type of warfare of modern special force assault type soldiers, where a small group of players infiltrate the enemy side and take out the opposing person (score the goal)
To him, hockey is close to his heart because it reminds him of his brother, who is in the US special forces, and his brother tells him his stories and feelings about how and what he does and my boyfriend translates that into his love for hockey and him explaining it in that way to me makes me appreciate it much more.
He moved from Tennessee a few years ago, so his favorite team is the Nashville Predators (he and his brother would go to several of the games) and so when he explains what the team and the sport mean to him, ithelps me toappreciate it as well.
So, what would be your favorite team and sport?

Wait maybe American Sports are made like that to subconsciously recruit men into the Military :O! :P And my favorite sport would be Football although if Parkour/Freerunning was a Sport it would be that :D
