Patton and The Great Escape are the ones I like best. I like Bridge Over the River Kwai, but my like of it is tempered by the fact that guys who were real prisoners of the Japanese hate it for its many inaccuracies. I also like The Dirty Dozen and The Battle of the Bulge, but those are a guilty pleasure.
Saving Private Ryan, Flags of Our Fathers and The Hurt Locker.
I've always wanted to see Letters - it isn't in english, correct?
Saving Private Ryan, Letters from Iwo Jima and Schindlers List were all amazing. Also, even though they weren't movies, Band of Brothers and Generation Kill were great (and the Pacific looks like it's going to be great as well).
