I prefer pound puppies. The living kind, not the stuffed kind. All the dogs I have had in my adult life have come from the pound.

To anyone thinking about getting a dog, I say, before you pay for a pure bred dog of any breed, at least consider going to the pound or animal shelter and see if there is a dog there that you connect with. You may be the dog's last chance at avoiding being put down.

I prefer both cut since it matches their defensive/guard dog behavoir, altho doberman's are really sweet, especially male doberman's they seem to bond with their owner the best.

Deihjan

The females truly live up to the proper term for a female dog. They are very aggressive compared to the male dogs, I find. It's illegal in my country to cut tails and ears now, so when I do see a dobbermann, it's natural. I feel the same way about other 'muscle dogs' like Rottweilers or Amstaffs, they're much cuter when normal. Isn't he a sweetie? :3

Ya female dogs are more aggressive, the two female doberman's want to kill/eat almost anything that moves. :P They bark at birds now cuz they want to eat them and the more agile black doberman has caught a few birds, which is quite sad.

Yes he is a cutie. :)

My favorite kind of dog is the one that lays around and does nothing.

Unfortunately for me we currently have a German Shepherd. He's not too bad though and he's a beautiful dog.

Deihjan

My french bulldog is pretty laid back and cuddly. If I stay in bed all day, he'll stay in bed with me, most likely under my covers.

It's funny, we had two small dogs, a Pekingnese and another one mixed with Pekingnese, and then we had a lab mixed with something and none of them liked to cuddle. But our huge 125 pound German Shepherd is a big baby and loves to cuddle.

Haha, yes! My mother grew up with a German Shepherd, and she'd steal my mum's covers during the night. It's funny how big dogs can be the biggest babies, too :3

I have a half english collie half german shepherd dog and my other dog is a beagle.

Beagles are ok but I swear they can get dumb sometimes LOL.

My half english collie/half german shep dog he's a good dog that I keep outside to guard the house. He's black colored so its hard for him to stay cool in the heat during the summer time. I have to give him water every hour or so so he doesnt have heat stroke or whatever.

I have noticed the beagle is picky when it comes to dog treats. He wont eat a milkbone while my other dog eats them

One of my neighbors has a half husky, half wolf. It was a pretty dog when it was young. Now it is a fat balloon. Looks like a giant cottonball with legs, head, and a tail.

I had a Doberman once. That's the only kind I've ever had so that's my favorite.julian_jr
yeah I had one as a kid and loved it. Best dog I ever had. It cracks me up when people say they are mean dogs. They clearly have no clue what they are talking about.

Beagles while they maybe cute, they're dumb. and Im sure some of you think its good for you to have pit bulls and dobermans but they just scare the hell otu of me. Raise them right, you say. Yeah whatever. they will still snap at other people when you try to introduce the dog to other family members.

  1. Husky
  2. Pitbull
  3. German Shephard

Those are my favorites personally. German Shephards do not tend to shed very much from my personal experience, even though they are more of a medium haired dog.
