Overeem hasn't beaten Mirko.

You're really going to say that Overeem wasn't winning that fight handily, or that CC could have come from behind for the victory? You may as well say that Ortiz didn't beat Rashad.
Overeem lost twice to Shogun.
And Vovchanchyn was good, but not great. Not quite a gatekeeper, but certainly not a premiere fighter. And the guy was tiny. 5'8", spent most of his time at 205.
Fact is, Overeem was a B-level 205'er. That can't possibly be in dispute.
And now he's supposedly a top 10 heavyweight because of wins over Paul Buentello and Gary Goodridge? Alright...

Igor was a legend and I will not hear anything but.
Say what you will about Overeem, but I'd LOVE to hear an argument detailing why Carwin or Velasquez are better than him. With wins over a hospitalized, shot-to-hell Nogueira and a kneebar on an inexperienced Lesnar after some crap reffing, even Mir's standing is questionable. But at the very least, Overeem, at least on paper, is better competition than Cain and Carwin. That's pretty much undeniable right now.
Also, again, there's the Kharitinov fight as well as the K-1 bout, but with the Buentello fight, the reason I brought it up is that Buentello, while not top ten, is probably a top 20 HW. And it's not just that Overeem beat him, it's HOW he beat him. Which was by complete, dominating murder.
