Unexpect - Desert Urbania Then we've got The Gathering, Scheitan, Tiamat, Warmen, Lowemotor Corporation, My Ruin, Holy Moses, Shadow, Evenfall, Madder Mortem and Novembre. All amazing bands. :o
I'm not too into the genre, but I used to like Nightwish when they had Tarja. I don't much listen to new music, but one of my friends recommended Nightwish, so I gave it a shot. I do like other female-fronted bands though. Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Joan Jett and the Black Hearts, Pat Benetar...

You've obviously never listen to Nightwish or Lacuna Coil. Both vocalists have two of the greatest voices out here. Tarja Turunen has probably the greatest Finnish soprano voice you'll ever hear and Cristina Scabbia probably has the greatest vocal abilities to grace metal. Her mezzo-soprano is literally to die for. She's one of the most popular female singers in rock and metal nowadays, creating her own personal style of vocals and image, being a role model for new generations.

Don't get me wrong, Anette has an amazing voice as well, however Nightwish just isn't Nightwish without Tarja.
Latley I have grown to like some Nightwish, Lacuna Coil and a few others. Was never huge into female vocalists but my boyfriends kinda into them so I have kinda given them a second chance and am growing fond of some.
Please tell me PsychoT4Prez if you're such a hater of this kind of music, why are you here? Did you not read the original post? Quit trolling and leave.
Does Prog Metal count? (not sure what we're talking about cuz I'm only on the first song in the OP.) Cuz if it does then I advise Within Temptation. I think they might be a bit more on the prog side though. Eh, I don't know. If it's a different genre then just ignore this post.
All those bands are uhm... quite poor, lame and sucky. That's what you get with vag singer's though. I can handle Courtney Love but that's as far as it goes. Back 2 kitchen, kthnx.
