2001:Space Odyssey.
It's very well-made and all, but I just can't sit through it. it just drags on and on.
the shawshank redemption: "the prison is life, man!" it's just so broad and heavy handed. the individual parts aren't much either.
requiem for a dream: i think aronofsky is a really talented director who has worked on plenty of great films, but requiem just feels pointless. the mother's story kind of interesting in that it broadens the typical scope of drugs, but the other stories are just redundant "drugs are bad and make you do bad things" wagging fingers.
a mix of popular and/or highly regarded movies here...
Lord of the Rings movies
Matrix movies
Toy Story 3
Crash
Pirates of the Caribbean movies
Let the Right One In
Shutter Island
[QUOTE="CreasianDevaili"]The Village. BurningAegis...People actually liked that movie? Somewhere. In the darkest hovel. There is someone who liked it and I am sure was scared during the climatic chase through the woods.

No Country For Old Men. Couldn't stand any part of that movie.Guppy507I'll agree with that (the movie anyway) I liked a lot of it and then there's that scene that cuts from Josh Brolin at the motel to Tommy Lee Jones arriving and everything after that and I honestly went "Sh*t did the movie just skip, did I miss a scene or something, is this seriously the end?" I'm sure there's some deep meaning in there or something but it's a god damn shame they made such an intriguing villain, plot, and characters and threw them away for whatever the hell that meaning might have been.
No Country For Old Men was fan-fvcking-tastic. Probably my favourite Coen Bros film. How can you hate the whole film seriously.
Anyway, I'm waiting for people to list movies. I can't think of any atm
God, I had to study that movie for a whole year and then write up essays on it. It can go to hell.2001:Space Odyssey.

Every movie can get ruined when you have to study it and write essays on it.. that sucks.

Not really. I had to do Blade Runner and Alien, both of which I love. I hated Odessey from the start.the hangover 1 and 2- complete waste of my fvcking time...i really wanted to like it given the hype but i just don't find it funny; the sequel is a re-hash of the same brain dead humor
anchorman-once again will ferril reprises his role as a complete retard much like his roles in talladega nights, step brothers, old school, the other guys and pretty much ever other "comedy" he's ever been in
zoolander-i think this is mostly due to the fact that i hate ben stiller...not as a person just as an actor ew. he's pretty funny in dodgeball, though
i suppose i should point out that i rarely enjoy comedies...sh!ts just not funny
TDK- the phenomenal performance of one actor doesn't make up for the rest of a poor movie.dagreenfishIt sorta did for me Made me forget the rest of the film
Godfather, Apocalypse Now, Citizen Kane, 8 1/2, Clockwork Orange, The Searchers, Raging Bull, To Kill a Mockingbird, or basically any other movie considered to be an all-time great. -Tish-
-Anything by Wes Anderson not called "Fantastic Mr Fox"
-Signs. I know it isn't loved by everybody but I also think it gets a lot more credit than it deserves. It's one of the worst films I've ever seen.
-Both Snatch. and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels
-Donnie Darko
-The Coen Brothers have about a 70% success rate with me. I'm not a fan at all of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, A Serious Man, or Burn After Reading (BAR has its moments). On the other hand I think Big Lebowski, Fargo, and No Country for Old Men are brilliant
-The Nightmare Before Christmas
-The Deer Hunter
And probably the one that will get me the most hate:
A Christmas Story
[QUOTE="DharmaMember77"]No >_>Have you seen Moonrise yet JML?

Also you forgot to put His Girl Friday in your list of hated movies:P

Yes, that part was a bit hard to follow, but that is exactly how it is written in the book. Probably the most faithful adaptation of a novel I've ever read, everything including the dialogue is pretty much exactly the same.
