Folks Who Want Pr0n Can Buy Android - Steve Jobs

You won't be getting any iPr0n. But you can go buy an Android phone if you want it as an option.

Since Apple has the authority to approve what's sold on its App Store for things that'll run on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, it can also control what users of its devices aren't allowed to see. One such category of things that Apple wants to keep away from its App Store is anything of pornographic nature, and if consumers aren't happy about that, then Steve Jobs will point them to buying an Android phone.

Apple probably doesn't want to ruin their reputation and be thought of as a pr0n distributor. It doesn't even matter though. iPhones have internet, internet has pr0n. Idk why somebody would want to pay for it when you can see it for free

As a recent Android user I have to say that I prefer Android over iphone.

I don't see how saying "Our device has less features" is a plus for them.

Because it is a controversial topic and many people would support Apple not enabling it. When somebody is buying an iPhone I'm sure they don't ask the retailer whether or not it has apps for pr0n

I don't really feel thats true. If apple started fixing all their macs to be unable to view porn, it wouldn't be a good thing for them. I wouldn't buy a product with less features when theres one with more that is basically the same thing.

Pornography is a multi billion dollar industry. Taking the moral high road screwed beta max and ensured VHS became a household name.

The difference is that iPhones still give access to it in certain places, just not the app store. If they blocked it out on all Macs, they would essentially be censoring the internet, which wouldn't fly with a lot of people, especially considering that Apple doesn't run the internet. The App Store, however, is run by Apple and things offered there may reflect their companies image.
