Let me also state that I am in no way a fan of anything that is remotely Dragonball-related. But seeing this is still painful for me. Watching this trailer was STILL as uncomfortable as watching the trailers for "Master of Disguise" or "Meet the Spartans".
And hell, I'm not even some artsy fartsy prude who despises stupid movies. One of my most anticipated upcoming movies is Black Dynamite, which is sure to be stupid as hell.
Hating this trailer has NOTHING to do with being mad that the Dragonball franchise wasn't given the proper treatment. This trailer is embarrassing to watch because it's just plain AWFUL. And unlike other stupid movies such as Black Dynamite here, I don't see anything in this trailer that makes it look like it'll be the least bit enjoyable even on a Gremlins 2 level (which, despite being stupid as hell, is by far one of the most enjoyable sequels ever made).

For a big budget film, the effects look sub-par...at least, judging from what's in the trailer. I don't even think the studio has any faith in this movie. If it did, It would open sometime during the summer season, instead of the tail end of winter. As as far as Black Dynamite....Michael Jai White as a '70s Blaxploitation hero. What's not to love? I hope it gets a release date soon.
You know, i've heard of things that are so bad they're funny but this is the first time i've ever seen it for myself. This looks like some insane parody or something.

Still better than Dragon ball GT...I mean what do you expect from a live action movie made from one of the most "impossible" animes in existance. Most characters by the end of it could whipe out galaxies with energy blasts and blow entire worlds up with a finger snap...I love DBZ and grew up on it (the sub versions)...so for me I will go see this movie just because it was made...I mean...Transformers was easy...Sweet CGI robots + humans= suscess. The last good live action cartoon make was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1. Everything from that point on has been meh
Are you ever in the movie theater with your girlfriend and a particularly bad trailer comes on? And the two of you sit there in stunned horror watching it. And when the trailer is over, you can't even look over at them and say "man, that looks like crap." Because that would be acknowledgeing that the two of you actually saw it, and what you saw is so embarrasing that it feels like a crime to have actually seen it. And all you can do is say nothing, and pretend that you DIDN'T really just see that.
