Fox news is an awfully biased channel. Most, if not all American news channels are pretty dire, but Fox is the worst of them.
The guy that owns Fox News is the same guy that owns the British execrable tabloid call The Sun Perioddelol
The Sun is a legendary paper, for all of the wrong reasons.
it lies, simple as thatmarkop2003
It's true. Fox News is not fair or balanced. But...the same could be said of any major media outlet in the USA. All the media warp the truth to increase ratings, or to fit the agenda of their financial support.
So basically, they are biased and whenever someone disagrees with them the fox people go into defence-mode?wiifreak93opinionated more than biased. They're hardly conservative, besides Sean Hannady. Any conservative on this site will tell you that

because its the only news station in the us that dosent have a liberal bias.
People don't like O'Reilly or Hannity. So they just hate the station. Doesn't matter that both have advertised opinion shows, and don't report the news.
Other's are upset about the story on Mass Effect they ran. But those same people are quick to forget CBS and Dan Rather.
If you're seeing all the Fox hate online, it's because liberalism runs rampant and free!

ive seen it happen many times. In fact i just saw it happen yesterday. The guest was talking about science and abortions/pro-choice, the reporter yells out THERE'S SCIENCE BEHIND ABORTIONS? I DON'T THINK THERE IS A SCIENCE BEHIND KILLING BABIES, so as the guest's voice cannot be heard. Then the reporters says "well anyways were out of time" and cuts to commercials.
Fox is the most biased of any of the major news networks. With understandable reason: it is owned by Roger Ailes who is a Rebuplican political strategist. And when he does things like compare Barack Obama to Osama Bin Laden, it's not going to do much for the channel he owns. Maniacc1i agree with you, but i though fox was owned by Rupert Murdoch?

Apparently you haven't seen some of the lib regulars on the show that do the same thing to defend Obama.I am Canadian, so from my understanding we don't have fox news up here.. and i honestly just heard about fox news recently, and how it is terrible.. but i don't understand why? why does everybody hate fox news?

1. It is extremely biased. Yes, I know CNN and MSNBC and all those are biased to an extent, but FOX News does not even try to hide it.
2. The people they have host shows are absolutely crazy, and a lot of returning guests are even worse. Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, Brit Hume, Sean Hannity. A lot are complete idiots as well; they are arch-conservatives who make easy money appealing to the casual conservatives out there
3. Theyre rude to their guests. If a soldier comes on and says he supports Bush, he gets a "god bless you" from the host. If a soldier comes on and argues against the war in iraq, he gets a "you should be ashamed of yourself".
4. They pick on people and places. The Bay Area, my home area, is constantly a target of their shows. So we are liberal in the Bay Area, thats our right. Just like its your right to be conservative. The only difference is we dont have a cable news channel to tell everyone to live like us.
5. In general, FOX News is just bullsquat. In a way, I like to watch it because its funny. It allows me to get inside the minds of conservatives, and its funny and embaressing watching these old farts and mindless young tools spout of nonsense.

Yeah I thought so too, but I guess not. :P

Maniacc1That's funny, because O'reilly publically bashes people( even Lori Ingrahams, who is part of Fox and has her own radio show) for smacking around Obama for nothing other than being a lib/his middlename.

That may be the case for the far-left, however, with rest of us, just calling it as we see it. For the record, I would proclaim similar slams of bias at majority of the mainsteam media out there. By no means something limited to FNC.[QUOTE="wiifreak93"]I am Canadian, so from my understanding we don't have fox news up here.. and i honestly just heard about fox news recently, and how it is terrible.. but i don't understand why? why does everybody hate fox news?

That's not enough to not call Fox or even O'reilly unbiased. Not when you've got a list this long.
They're politically biased. But, unlike most other news stations, its blatantly obvious.I am Canadian, so from my understanding we don't have fox news up here.. and i honestly just heard about fox news recently, and how it is terrible.. but i don't understand why? why does everybody hate fox news?

That's what it all comes down to.
It's not the fact that Fox News is biased but the fact that they are the worst at hiding it.
There's nothing bad about it. All mainstream media is biased, but since Fox News leans to the right a bit it gets a lot of heat.Bloodbath_87
In general, that's true.
gah people calling it faux news is almost as bad when everyone deceided to call Microsoft M$ Ravirr
I know. It's ****ing ridiculous. In general, it's not that biased. It's just that some of the pundits on there are very conservative. For the most part, FOX News is pretty normal as a news network. It's just those few pundits who are just a bit too self-righteous.
As far as bias goes, they're a real insult to real conservatism...
As far as event coverage goes, though, they're just as good as any other news network. It's just that they're way to ignorant in their opinion shows, but you shouldn't really be trying to pull political opinions from major news organizations anyway...
